..... And may all your ups and downs be in the bedroom! :)

But the beginning of the toast should probably be something more sincere and meaningful.

I'm a horrible person for saying this, but his toast should end "...I am honored to be your first man, even though I don't deserve it. I slept with your fiance." Follow that up with an obscene face or gesture towards the bride and you'll have a speech that no one will ever forget.

Seriously, you should probably end by connecting some emotion-laden quirk you shared together in your childhood to the big reason the marriage will go well. "It was when I saw how happy my brother was when he found someone to share his love of (insert beloved hobby here) that I knew they would be together forever." Cry a little.

Check out www.customweddingsolutions.com

They have a bunch of toast examples and a free speech guide. i personally like:

"Groom), take (Bride’s) hand and place your hand over hers. Now, remember this moment and cherish it... because this will be the last time you'll ever have the upper hand!"

May the future hold your happiness,
May the future hold your health.
May your heart hold your love,
And may your arms hold your babies, yet to come.
Here’s to your future happiness together!

OR

Let’s raise our glasses as we toast this couple: May you both live as long as you want, And never want as long as you live.

The Father of the bride and I have something very much in common this day. Today, the Father of the Bride gave away, and placed (bride's fist name)'s hand in (best friend's first name)'s hand, to become as one with him..a new person. Today, I (emphasize "I" and pause) gladly give up a part of my heart as I place my Best friend's (emphasize "MY best friend's) hand in the (bride's first name)'s hand, to become one with her; for through this act of marriage, both will find happiness and purpose as one, far beyond that which either father or friend could possibly conjure. Here's to (both first names!!!Both!...don't say "both" ...and don't screw it up!!!)

"As a close personal friend of the groom I know that she is a transvestite so it should be one heck of a wedding night."

That will certainly bring the crowd to their feet and give them something to think about for a long time.
