looking for the translation for"spes melioris aebi" i think it is latin but have had no sucksess.?

this is a part of my family crest "reese" and have had no luck finding the translation.

Did you mean Spes melioris aevi?
SPES = noun: hope, expectation, lookout
AEVI = genitive for "aevum", time, days, era, generation, etc.
MELIORIS = genitive for the comparative melior (better), which qualifies "aevi" in this sentence.

"Spes melioris aevi" would therefore mean "Hope of a better time" or even "Hope of a better life"

I think you hit the 'b' letter on your keyboard instead of the 'v' for "aevi". There are Reese members in my family, and the latin motto "Spes Melioris Aevi" translates literally into English as "(The) Hope of a Better Age".
This can be verified by looking into the following publication:

melior - better

I found the word "aebi" on another crest but no translator can translate it, and I tried a few.. good luck
