Oh you are so RIGHT! My sister walked at 7 months and its on video, the doctor nearly **** himself when my mom told him she was walking, lol. mom sat her down and walked to the other side of the room and my sister got up and darted to my mom, the doctor actually jumped out of shock, lol. Its been one of our familys favorite stories. Everybody thought she looked strange because she was so tiny and some people thought it was kinda freaky. But yup yours wasn't the first to walk at 7 months old. That was 26 years ago

Well if your baby walked at 7 months, then it's certainly possible for a baby to walk at 7 months. Actually I was going to say before I read your whole question, that the earliest I had personally heard of was 7 months. Unusual, but possible!

Well, Newborns cannot walk, but infants can walk as early as 5-6 months. (In super rare cases), which I personally think is too early, and the parents must have been caoching the infant very hard for that to happen. One baby I know that walked at about 5 1/2 months walked extremely bowlegged because his muscles in his legs just weren't developed enough. He grew out of it, but I think its dangerous, personally to walk before around 7-8 months.

Newborns can't walk. A newborn is a baby under 2 months old.

All of my children, my oldest grandson, and I started walking at 9 - 9 1/2 months old. However, I have heard about babies that started walking at 7 1/2 months old and some at 14 1/2 months old . . . the main thing is that they are healthy.
Check out this web site -- evidently, they have heard about babies walking at 7 months, too. http://www.scholastic.com/earlylearner/experts/behavior/0_2_learnwalk.htm

My second walked at 9 months, but my third walked at 7 months. She did not want her brothers to leave her behind. So tell your friends they don't know what they are talking about.

My brother was walking by 8 months and me by 7mo ( my bro is 5 yrs older; I just HAD to keep up!). My daughter was walking at 8 mo and running (no lie!) by 9months and she has not stopped yet! (God am I getting tired!!!)
I was told by my doc that genetics play a part in newborn/infant development, if both parents walked early chances are their kids will too. It doesn't really matter when, though, as long as they do it when they are ready (and not when YOU are i.e. don't pressure) it's all good!

my brother was walking at 9 1/2 months, and my son could walk at 8 months (he had to hold on to something with one hand, but was otherwise walking) and was walking without support at 10 months.
