Good question, but it comes down to personal taste.
This summer I have been sampling beers from around the world and here in Canada. I have tried 45 new beers in the past couple of months. Here are some suggestions:
Coopers Sparkling Ale-Australia-5.8%-unfiltered-tastes awesome
Super Bock-Portugal-5.6%-surprisingly smooth
Boris-France-5.5%-250ml bottle-very good
Cristal-Cuba-5.0%-refreshing
Red Stripe-Jamaica-5.0%-real nice
Caledonian 80-Scotland-4.1%-dark and no aftertaste
Carib-Carribean-5.0%-nice
Castle-South Africa-5.0%-smooth great taste
Miller Genuine Draft-USA-4.7%-goes down easy

I like Cherry Kriek the best. But a heavy dark beer is a good one for marinading and tenderizing meats

Best taste? Everyone one has their own individual taste for different beer so it is impossible to know exactly what is the best beer.
