First off, I can be pretty hair challenged. I can do all kinds of stupid weird things with my hair that should never be seen in public, but simple hairstyles are impossible for me.
I have hair that has some natural wave, but it never looks right if I try to let it air dry or add gel or mousse. Frankly, it looks like crap.
I usually just straighten it or pull it up now.
Does anyone have any tips on simple ways to give hair a nice wave without it going all over the place? And I'd rather use a technique with little to no product in my hair. It makes my hair feel sticky, crunchy, or it smells weird....lol
Thanks

when you get out of the shower towel dry hair then spray either leave in conditioner or a light texturizing spray, twist different sections and bobby pin close to scalp finish getting ready for school and then blowdry till 90 % dry and then use the cool setting for a minute it will help set the wave, remove pins and shake hair and you will look great, a good leave in cond is herbal essence spells great

your hair type sounds like mine... but dont worry you can have gorgous curls! it just takes a lil time, first blow dry your hair so that its straight, then put hot curlers in your hair and leave them in as long as possible (about 20 min) While the curlers are in your hair spray them with some hair spray. Gently take them out being careful not to pull the curl out. Turn your head over and do a good shake. Voila!! beautiful natural curls. Hope it works for ya!

Well i can totally identify with you, except i legt my hair go loose... i dont straighten it alot.... what i do is right after i get out of the shower i comb it and i put some moouse....and scrunch it..... and while its scrunch...(either hold on to it with your hand or tie it so that it stays scrunched...and blow dry it....make sure you dont put too much moouse or else it'll look wet...with the right amount of moouse your hair will dry but it wont be all over the place and your hair will look great with its amazing waves!!!! Good luck...practice makes perfect.....hehe

A product called "wash and curl" it's a shampoo I found at Walmart, second step "Sunsilk" defrizz creme. Leaves hair soft with no crunch and a nice amount of wave. I have curly hair and using these two leaves my hair with a nice curl without it being too tight and no frizz. I also let my hair air dry.

go to the hair salon and ask to get a light wave perm and when finish style with frizz ease serum or some kind of shine spray there are many to choose from. and it wont make your hair feel sticky and maybe a month later get subtle highlights...

Try a large curling iron or how about a steam rollers that is in the case. You could always go to the bobby pins.....

Crunchy hair is gross.. don't do that. let it dry loosely or blowdry it with SOME hairgel. Good Luck. I hope your hair is better soon!
