"To pray the rosary you should use a Rosary. A Rosary is a string of beads with a crucifix. A short string of five beads is attached to the crucifix which leads to a large circular strip of beads made of five sets of one large bead and ten smaller beads, called decades."

if you go to the gift shop of a prestigious catholic church, you will find the directions along with the entire idea the reason and the inspiration brought forth from it. saying the rosary saved my life twice, it's time again. i am sure your question was my wake up call, that's how things work. i had to remember, i had forgotten, even having my alter with the Blessed Mother and my miracle working chrystal rosary, right there in front of me, in my room gathering dust as i cry, because i am so overwhelmed by my sorrow for myself...

My answer will be short and to the point (I hope)
Firstly - you don't PRAY the rosary - you SAY the rosary
You say one "Hail Mary" for each bead in the blocks of ten, and one "Our Father" for the single beads between.
That's it, nuff said.

you do the sign of the cross while you say the apostels creed you start by saying the Lords Prayer while medidating on the Lord then you say The salutation of the angel(hail mary) while meditating on the incarnation/annuctiation and after you say a Glory be (the Praise of the most Holy Trinity One God).. anyways then you see what day it is and say it is a wednesday like today you meditate on the luminous mysteries that being The Baptism of our Lord, The wedding in canaa, The Proclamation of the Kingdom(the sermon on the mount), the Transfiguration, and the Institution of the Most Holy Eucharist durring the last supper... ok so those are the mysteries for today you start with saying the bible passages that goes to the first one being Jesus' Baptism then you say and Our Father while meditating on the passage and everything that must have been going on( how do you think Jesus felt, How John felt, How glorious it was that the Father proclaimed what he proclaimed about his son, and just meditate thinging about the baptism ... when your done the our father you go to say the Angels Saluation 10 times (since this was a marian based devotion in honour of mary and how she felt when she found out she would conceive the lord... you don't have to meditate on that im just saying what the prayers about but anyways your still meditating until you finish the ten hail mary's mediate as much you can to connect to the glorious life of the lord as this is what the rosary is for... anyways after the 10 hail marys are done you proclaim the Praise of the Trinity (glory be) then you invoke a new prayer that we have learned from the Mother of Jesus who appeared to jancita francisco and lucia this is your choice for the praye... it goes: Oh my Jesus save us from the fires of hell lead all souls into heaven especially those in most need of thy mercy. after this prayer we go to the next myster that being the wedding in canna read the bible passage and then start the Our Father...then 10 hail marys while meditating on the wedding in canna and how Jesus preformed the glorious miracle... after your then hail marys are done you go on to say once again the Praise of the most Holy Trinity(glory be) and once again the Oh My Jesus prayer... then you announce the next myster being the Sermon on the mt.(or the proclamation of heaven) and you mediate on the words jesus spoke there while saying the our father and 10 hail marys... then once again you say The Praise of the Trinity and the Oh my Jesus while announcing the 4th mystery being the Transfiguration of Our Lord you read the bible verse and meditate on that while saying the Our Father and 10 hail marys after this you say The Praise of the Trinity and the Oh my jesus prayer you announce the next mystery being the Institution of the Holy Eucharist read the bible verses about it and then start meditating while saying the Our Father/10 hail marys after you are done this you can say the Ave Sancta Regina (since this is a marian devotion if you don't know the Ave Sancta Regina look in any basic prayer book its your choice for this prayer...) end every thing of with the Praise of the Trinity To Praise the Only Lord the Only True Power ...this being a marian devotion we know that the glory in mary, the only prayers that maybe answered with invoking her; are only answered by God he works through his Creation.. Mary being the Mother Of Jesus is very special too us you probally no that but anyways this is a marian devotion but the purpose of it is to bring us closer in meditation to the life of Our Savior the Rosary was given to St. Dominic ( a catholic saint..) to fight of herseys...

Throw the thing in the trash, look in the book of Matthew, find and pray the Lord's prayer, ask Jesus to come into your life, and into your heart, ask for forgiveness, then find a good Holy - Spirit filled church, and attend regularly, serve God and you may stand a chance of going to heaven.
