When a male has a wet dream in the night(involuntarily, I must add)and kills thousands of sperm, do you consider it mass-murder!? Or are the sperm NOT ALIVE?
When a female ovulates, do you consider that murder also? Or is it God's fault that LIVING egg is killed needlessly?
At what point do you consider LIFE as LIFE?

scifiguy: You are so right. I think the date set that one can abort is horrendously late in the stage of development. Before the brain has formed and ideally before the pain receptors have developed would be far better.

Sperm and eggs do not contain a brain.
A child does not spontaneously gain a brain the moment it is born. It develops months before that point.
It seems to me that the same people who are "pro-choice" are for "animal rights." If you believe it is wrong to kill a dog because it has a brain, why is it not wrong to kill an unborn child six months after conception even though it also has a brain?

I think abortion is wrong at any point after conception. And I personally don't believe in what everyone calls birh control either because I feel that it's stopping a life that God wants to create......but that's another can of worms.
For all people who think it's okay to kill a baby at 5 or 6 months, have you ever spent any time in a NICU? I have. I've seen babies weighing less than a pound. I've watched them try to cry as needles are stuck into them in attempts to save their lives. I've watched my own child on an ultrasound monitor "running away" from pokes and prods as early as 19 weeks. She was born at 6 months, when her murder would have still been legal. Babies feel pain at a very early stage. No one can say exactly what that age is. Doctors may think they know, but they can't possibly really know. On judgment day, I certainly wouldn't want to have to face God and try to defend my decision to cause such horrible pain to a completely innocent, helpless child who depended on me to protect, feed, and carry him.

Fool ! One needs to be a Person to have a Soul, a sperm, or an egg isn't a Person ! When they are joined, and a Baby is Conceived, then THAT is a Person, and has a Soul.

At conception. That is when a life is a life. God has already created that life. We only provide the body for the soul to reside in for a short period of time.
When it is all said and done, everything belongs to God and we actually do not own anything. We are called stewards - to watch and take care of those things that we have been presented with.
