Christian persecution and martyrdom is said to be at the highest level ever right now. It just doesn't make the secular media, and it happens mainly in other countries. I believe what the Bible says in Revelation about Christians being beheaded for not renouncing their faith. It is a sure thing that those times are soon to come. It's just a matter of how soon at this point. We have lived an air-conditioned, foot rested life in America. That has been real good, but it makes a body soft if you know what I mean. Having all of our creature comforts and cappucino's now is going to make life unbearable to some when they are gone. I'm talking about society in general now. I really don't think that people are mentally or spiritually prepared for large-scale disaster in our country. I think that we should become sober minded these days, especially as Christians. It's time to wake up and take a look around.

The future is only dangerous if you do not put your faith in God and His First Born Son and King Jesus.
Stand still, hold up your head your Salvation is near.
So have faith in GOD AND THE PROMISE OF A RESURRECTION. Let God fight your near future for you.!

that depends on the state of mond of the christians.
if the fundamentalist's continue to oppress the rights of every other religion on the planet.
if they continue to tell everyone that is not a Christian that they are going to hell.
if they continue their Holier than THOU attitude.
then YES it will become dangerous.
however if rational Chriatians take ofer their religion, and dont allow people like Pat Robertson to be their spokspeople then you have a fair chance of being accepted.
Wicca and Paganism are the fastest growing religions in the USA. most of us are decended form someone that was pagan at one point or another. we are rational. but you must remember that when going up a hill be careful whose toes you step on, because they will be the ones kicking you when you come back down.

Yep, the black brides and bearded men in turbans and rags are going to plant propane tanks in your microwave while you are sleeping and set it on High for 10 min. In 7 minutes it will blow apart your abode. Or, they can wire up propane tanks to the cigarette lighter in a car or truck, park it in a busy area and set it to go off by a timer.
I read this info in a discussion group reponding to any article of news today in the Yahoo section and did forward it as "abuse" being of terrorist information. Maybe it was just someone messng around....but who knows?
PS. I made up the part about the black brides.and the menfolk..but that is just what they look like to me. Relax, I am old enough to remember "the bomb" and what that did to my generation...every generation will have something to fear. Also, the Oaklahoma federal building bombing was done by a young good looking american veteran...think about that for a while.

It is extremely dangerous to be a christian in many countries now and in fact today there are three christians being put to death in Indonesia today because of their beliefs.
There are many faithful chirstians being put to death for their beliefs and as christians we need to pray and support christians in other parts of the world who are suffering persecution.

Christian 'Dominionists' (Reconstructionalists, Theonomists) have largely usurped the local level political apparatus of the Republican Party, and are engaged in a sub rosa process to politically motivate moderate Christians under the false cover of religious issues such as morality and family values, under cover of front organizations like the Christian Coalition, the American Family Association and the Promise Keepers. The goal is nothing less than the takeover of all elective offices in the USA.
Their doctrine comes from the Bible, starting with the term 'dominion' at Genesis 1:28... “And God said unto them, [Adam and Eve] Be fruitful and multiply, and fill the earth and subdue it; and have DOMINION… over every living thing.” They interpret DOMINION as: “... a supremacy in determining and directing the actions of others or in governing politically, socially, or personally.”
They want to remake the USA as a theocracy... and they are succeeding.
Its most common form, Dominionism, represents one of the most extreme forms of Fundamentalist Christianity thought. Its followers, called Dominionists, are attempting to convert the laws of United States so that they match those of the Hebrew Scriptures. They intend to achieve this by using the freedom of religion in the US to train a generation of children via home-schooling and in private Christian religious schools. See: JESUS CAMP http://www.apple.com/trailers/magnolia/jesuscamp/trailer/. Later, their graduates will be charged with the responsibility of creating a new Bible-based political, religious and social order. One of the first tasks of this order will be to eliminate religious choice and freedom. Their eventual goal is to achieve the "Kingdom of God" in which much of the world is converted to Christianity. They feel that the power of God's word will bring about this conversion. No armed force or insurrection will be needed; in fact, they believe that there will be little opposition to their plan. People will willingly accept it. All that needs to be done is to properly explain it to them.
All religious organizations, congregations etc. other than strictly Fundamentalist Christianity would be suppressed. Nonconforming Evangelical, main line and liberal Christian religious institutions would no longer be allowed to hold services, organize, proselytize, etc. Society would revert to the laws and punishments of the Hebrew Scriptures. Any person who advocated or practiced other religious beliefs outside of their home would be tried for idolatry and executed. Blasphemy, adultery and homosexual behavior would be criminalized; those found guilty would also be executed. There are two conservative Christian pastors in Texas who have advocated the execution of all Wiccans. Ralph Reed, the executive director of the conservative public policy group the Christian Coalition has criticized Reconstructionism as "an authoritarian ideology that threatens the most basic civil liberties of a free and democratic society."
By failing to openly confront this insidious agenda, we have sown the seeds of our own destruction, while these religious wing-nuts are paving the way to Armageddon with gleeful anticipation.

Duh . If you learn to respect other's belief and stop giving other names and start growing more matured and wise you'll be just fine. As far as I see it,. Muslims are the target and endangered here. either they're innocent or terrorists. So stop asking silly questions like ' Christians are the endangered species' CRAPS
