Taco: Small corn tortilla, folded in half
Burrito: Large flour tortilla, wrapped completely around contents.
There also seems to be some difference in the contents depending on who is making them -- more beans and fewer vegetables in burritos is common.

Usually a burrito has meat and beans and cheese/or meat and cheese in it. A taco has meat and cheese, lettuce, tomatoes and onions.
A burrito is always made with a flour tortilla. A taco can be made with either a corn tortilla or a flour tortilla.
A burrito can be fried. A taco is never fried after it is filled.

Tacos are usually smaller and filled with beef, lettuce, tomato and sour cream. Hot sauce on top....
A burrito is larger and has less ingredients. Usually Beef or beans with a red sauce, onion and cheese. A burrito is always on a flour tortilla and a a taco can be on a small flour tortilla or a hard corn tortilla shaped like a U.

taco is smaller and has everything in it like meat cheese lettuce s.cream olives. Burrito has beans and cheese. That is what you get if you order from taco bell anyway!!
