Darn right you are if you know about it.

You are definitely responsible for your children's safety so the first thing you should do is fire the babysitter. Then I would take actions against the renter by kicking him out the door right behind her. I don't think you have to worry about any kind of eviction notice other than saying "It's the door, or it's the police." I believe he'll leave quickly and quietly. If you do not remedy this situation now and it happens again, yes, you will be responsible because you had prior knowledge that your renter was supplying alcohol to your underaged sitter, who should be giving her undivided attention to the well-being of your children.

You will be held responsible if you have knowledge of the situation and do not take action against the person. I would stop renting the room to the person if (s)he is going to continue to give alcohol to your babysitter.

Are you the home owner?

Most likely you are responsible.

Your baby sitter is probably under age.

Is the tenant under age?

Does this mean your child is around this?

Is this person having sex with this baby sitter and if so is it statutory rape?

Get a new tenant and baby sitter.

I'd make an anonymous call to the authorities from a public phone and ask a hypothetical question about this that applies to a friend of friend and not your self.

When your babysitter decided to accept the offer to drink, she decided it based on her own conscious mind. You can't be blamed for her action although somehow this has put your kid(s) in 'a' situation. However, it is your responsibility to talk to her regarding the consequences of her action and what you can do to avoid that from happening again.

i do no longer drink underage yet i think of the government could substitute something the two the eating age or the age to pass into the army by way of fact how come an 18 twelve months previous youngster can pass into the army yet cant have a undergo after he purely watched somebody get shot? So i think of i'd substitute the age to 21 to be waiting to pass into the army.

You could be and that's where the problem lies. If you now know that this person is giving alcohol to an underaged person then you, as the home owner, could be held libel should something illegal happen to her. You have grounds to evict your tenant. Good luck. Just do something before this problem gets out of hand.

depending on where you live, if this is on property that you own, yes you would be liable. what they are doing under your roof is illegal, and you are responsible for what occurs even if you are not involved. i would be very careful here....if the babysitter's parents find this out....whew....you do not want to be in that position. (this is assuming the babysitter is underaged)

Not necessarily, although you probably don't want to get caught up in the situation since it sounds like its taking place on your property.

Also, you would be negligent if the renter is getting your babysitter drunk while they're supposed to be watching your chid(ren).

No, you are not responsible. But it would be wise to boot the renter.
