There are several reasons that your dog might be red eyes. Below are some of the most common reasons given by various veterinarians:

Your dog might have scratched their eye;
Your dog might have something trapped in their eyelid;
Your dog might have allergies;
Your dog might have high blood pressure;
Your dog might be getting glaucoma;
Your dog’s eyes might be irritated from riding with their head outside the car; or
Your dog might have been sprayed by a skunk.
If your dog does have red eyes, rest assured that there are steps you can take to help your furry friend overcome this ailment.

You might want to rinse them out;
You might want to invest in Doggles so that their eyes are protected when they hang out of the window; finally,
You might want to use tissue to get an object out of your dog’s eye.
If none of the above remedies work then you should consult your vet to see what exactly might be causing the problem.
