Trans fat, like any other fat, has calories. Exercising will burn off those calories, but the negative effects of trans fat will still remain. The problem with trans fat is that they were created by chemically altering or "hydrogenating" liquid oil to make it solid. The process of hydrogenation is what creates trans fats. They are far more dangerous to your health than saturated fat. The culprit? trans fats D'ONT MELT AT BODY TEMPERATURE. (You know that greasy feeling you get on the roof of your mouth after eating a donut?) That is why they build up in your arteries, increase your cholesterol, and contribute to heart disease. They are a man made food! Read your labels, because the FDA allows a nutrition label to say 0g trans fat simply if there is less than .5g per serving. If you're eating the whole bag of potato chips, all those .5 grams are going to add up.

Bottom line.. trans fats are hidden in labels as "hydrogenated" or "partially hydrogenated oil". Do yourself a favor and avoid these at all costs.

It takes over 4 months for our bodies to purge all of the trans fats from our system. While exercise will burn calories, it wont get rid of the bad fats. You just can't eat them anymore.

I've tried many diets and couldn't make anything work. Since having my first child, I've been carrying around an extra 30 pounds. This diet just made sense and showed me that everything I was doing before was wrong and a waste of my time.

The plan was so refreshing and so simple to follow. I did everything plan said and lost 23 pounds in the first three weeks. I'm now starting the diet again to lose 7 more pounds. This plan has changed my life.

Get started today!

Absolutely. Chemically speaking, trans fats are made of the same building blocks as non-trans fats, but are a slightly different shape.

How to Get Rid of Trans Fat in Your Body
Trans fats are hydrogenated animal fats and plant oils that are used by the food industry because they help food stay fresh longer, as this alteration makes the oils more solid. They are usually present in snack foods, margarine, fried foods, shortening and salad dressings and are highly toxic for your body. According to the American Heart Association, trans fats lower your HDL cholesterol levels and raise your LDL cholesterol levels as well as increase your risk of stroke and heart disease. You need to cleanse and detox your body to begin the process of eliminating trans fats from your body.

1. Make a commitment with yourself to remain on your cleansing and detox program for at least one to two weeks. This is the suggested time frame recommended by the Northwestern Health Sciences University detox program. You can use a diary to monitor your changes and help you remain motivated.

2. Re-structure your diet to increase your fiber intake, which will bind to the fats in your body and allow you to release them. Consider up to 50 grams of fiber and no less than 30 grams per day. Ideal sources of fiber include vegetables, whole grains and fruit.

3. Introduce enzyme-rich juices into your diet, such as carrot juice, which will aid your body in releasing fat, according to the article "Fat/Cellulite Detox," written by Dr. Linda Page and published by the website Pioneer Thinking.
4. Choose organic foods and favor raw or steamed vegetables and greens, such as kale and collards. Avoid fats except for those present in vegetables, such as avocados, and nuts.
5.Drink water throughout your day --at least 60 ounces -- and add lemon juice to prompt a gentle cleansing of your liver, beginning with a cup of warm water on an empty stomach, first thing in the morning.

As others touched upon, when your body burns fat it doesn't really "see" different fats as being different. In many ways all fat is burned equally. In more depth, specific fats have different roles in the body but in general, yes it's all burned!
