If you're talking about orthodontia, the medical term for devices used to straighten teeth (the classic "braces" are becoming less and less common as technology and technique improves), my fellow responders are correct that prices do vary. But what does not vary is that it isn't cheap. As orthodontics are almost always elective, most health insurance policies won't cover them, and only some dental policies will.
You could be looking at a total price in the low-to-mid thousands over a number of years. This will depend on what you need and what you elect to get.

It depends on what types of braces. You should get some dental insurance, they usually pay the majority of the bill. And that way if any extra work is needed it would be covered by the insurance.
