This depends upon the current market value and the size and quality of the roots. Large top quality roots can go for several hundred dollars, but most are in the "several gram" range and only bring $5 to $10 on the open market.

it's only worth what someone is willing to pay, here in the US old roots can go for 1000 dollars a pound
