K well I asked this in a different question but didn't get many replies. If someone is Christian in your school or work or whatever do you "tease" them about it? Do you have any specific names for them, and what is it that you dislike about Christianity. This is for a paper I'm doing for civil rights team at school.

Wow wow wow no civil rights is not about bashing christians. I guess I didn't explain what I'm doing. Well everyone on the team is writing a paper:A day in the life of a student. The "topics" are: emo, black, gay, jocks, popular people etc. We have to write a paper on what they go through in a day. Teasing, tourmenting, different feelings etc. It is not about bashing anybody, it's to make our teachers aware of what's going on in our school.

No one should be "teased" about their beliefs.
We all posses our own truths, these truths are all valid. We own them.
I would imagine that teasing someone about their beliefs would be the equivalent to a being racist or sexist. (JMHO)

No I do not tease them.
Here is a typical conversation which actually does occur with coworkers from time to time.
Co-worker> God bless you.
Me > Thanks but I am not a believer.
Co-worker> Why not.
Me> I would rather not debate about it.
Co-worker> But don't you know Jesus loves you and died for our sins.
Me> Well.. I do not buy it.
Co-worker> You are going to hell.
Me> Perhaps I am. I still do not believe.
Co-worker> You will one day.
With a stranger I am a bit paranoid.
Stranger> God loves you.
Me> umm.. thanks.. bless you
I have had some interesting conversations with Theists, usually about creation and the such. I am more of a listener. They tell me how the world must have been created because like buildings it requires a creator and so on. I usually will input my views but they think I am nuts... But no I do not poke fun at them. I could be fired or worst.

I never ran into any religious anything until I landed in a small town in the south. I don't know about making fun of Christians, but I do know that I was labeled as a Heathen, and was damn near shunned, by the majority of the KIDS I went to school with. All these lovely church going folks.... Yeah right. I have met 1 person in my whole life that was spiritual, I mean truly... and I was amazed by her. She was just.... I can't explain it...

I don't "tease" anyone about something they take that seriously. truthfully, I come here to discuss the subject because the only way you really can discuss that subject is either with someone that you are very very close to, who won't be offended if you disagree with them, or on someplace like here, where you can assume people are open to at least hearing different opinions than their own. then you can talk or maybe joke a little, but most people are not open to that at all. It's too sensitive a subject.

If someone DID tease anyone for being a Christian whether at work, school or any other social setting, it could be taken as harassment. All you need do is look at the situation the Pope has got himself into for talking about muslims.

I believe in co-existance. I am wiccan and my sister is Catholic. We are respectful of each others beliefs. Why would a person want to "tease" someone for what they believe. Just because I am wiccan doesn't mean that my way is the only way. I think people should be able to practice what they want to practice without fear.

One of my very best friends is Christian. When she does something that I know goes against her religion I would say either "Good Job Churchgirl or if she was being mean or non-Christian like and then something happens to her I would say, "See God Does Not Like Ugly!" I don't personally attack her religion, but I do point it out to her when shes being a hypocrite.

most people in America are christian. People find preaching in the work place counter productive and disrespectfully of others. If someone persists in this I would try to get management to fire them. Yes these are the people that get ostracized and joked about.

Wouldn't teasing a Christian or person of any religion constitute a "Hate Crime?" In doing so you may subject yourself to arrest and law suits.
Even if a school or business were to permit this teasing. The school or business could with administrators be subject to arrest and or civil law suits.

Oh my Goodness, no! Never, there People, generally good people. No one should tease someone about there religion, well; almost no one. I do, on occasion; take liberties with the different belief structures I've encountered, but I make exception for myself. No one else should do this though, it's just wrong!!!
