Hi Ashish,
your name suggest you are indian and hindu, therefore I am sugesting what I always do before falling asleep.

In the bed i start chanting "RAM, RAM, Ram".
I do it for 8 times and then count 1 on my finger joints.
After every 8 chant,I move to next joint.

I usualy fall asleep by the count of 20 on the joint.

I am 61, but hardly ever get headache or trouble sleeping.
Jai shri ram. Try, it won't hurt a bit.

Go get yourself some Valerian- it's a natural herb.
Valerian has been used as a medicinal herb since at least the time of ancient Greece and Rome. Its therapeutic uses were described by Hippocrates, and in the 2nd century, Galen prescribed valerian for insomnia. In the 16th century, it was used to treat nervousness, trembling, headaches, and heart palpitations.
The herb allays pain and promotes sleep. It is of especial use and benefit to those suffering from nervous overstrain, as it possesses none of the after-effects produced by narcotics.

Consult a doctor. Have a openhearted chat with some of your trusted friend, who can understand you. Sleep problems come either because of emotional reasons or due to physical health problems. Consult a doctor and do as per his advice. Don't enter into other ways. It does not really help in chronic sleep disorders.

I know I used to have this some months ago. I think I was under stress cuz now my exams are over its right back to normal. Some tips that helped me: don't take naps during the day! avoid at all costs.
Try listening to music. nice slow music does it sometimes or you can read a textbook or something you have to read for class. and if all else fails have a warm glass of milk.

You should download hypnosis mp3 files--just do a Google search for them. And there are even ones geared especially for insomnia. You listen right before you go to bed, and it helps you relax. I have tried it--totally awesome.
