bordz8n - you are crazy , what makes you think May vs DLH is a bigger fight than Tito Vs DLH , are you high , it will be a good fight , but money and PPV wise with out a doubt is TRIN VS DLH
more people will want to pay for that fight.
And Oscar should accept this fight once and for all , remember that Tito is willing to come out of retirement just to fight him , because DLH keeps calling him out ,so now is Oscar chance to prove he's not just talking

First of all, anyone who knows anything about boxing KNOWS that "The Golden Boy" Oscar De La Hoya beat Felix "Tito" Trinidad EASILY.

The only reason De La Hoya officially "lost" that fight—well, not really a fight but more of a lopsided boxing destruction of Tito at the hands of the Golden Boy—is because the judges got it wrong, plain and simple.

Assuming you did give the last rounds to Trinidad based on De La Hoya's running, De La Hoya STILL won enough of the earlier rounds to win the fight convincingly on the scorecards.

With that said, seeing how the one-dimensional slugger named Trinidad was beaten easily by two other superior boxers—Bernard Hopkins and Ronald "Winky" Wright—what makes people believe that a second fight between De La Hoya and Trinidad would have a different outcome?

As to the question itself: SHOULD De La Hoya give Trinidad $30 million to fight in the rematch? No, because I don't think De La Hoya needs to prove anything by fighting a man he's already beaten.

Plus, De La Hoya is on the verge of retirement. De La Hoya wants to retire by winning his final fight against a great opponent, like the undefeated Floyd Mayweather Jr., the best pound-for-pound boxer fighting today.

Beating Trinidad, who lost his last fight and clearly isn't the same fighter he once was, in a rematch as De La Hoya's "final" goodbye to boxing just doesn't make a lot of sense for De La Hoya's legacy.

It would be FAR more impressive if De La Hoya fought and defeated Mayweather as his final fight, not to mention the fact that a Mayweather-De La Hoya fight would probably bring in more money than a De La Hoya-Trinidad rematch ever would.

What's the motivation for De La Hoya to fight Trinidad at 160? None. He's got money in the bank. It's sounds like Tito may need the money.

Well to see a good fight Hell yeah. from De La Hoya's point of view Trinidad is luring him into a bad position. I doubt he can go that far up in weight also the guy beat him at his best now at a hight er weight with not enough training for that. Think distractions as a promoter. De La Hoya has a bad record at the higher weights except for guy like Mayorga who is a puncher and little more than that. that would be a fight to avoid unless at junior middleweight or less.

NO..
Trinidad vs. De la Hoya would be a pretty good fight. i think De La Hoya would put a beat down on trinidad again.....

(If he doesn't start running towards the end of the fight)

BUT.... I would defenetly prefer to see De la Hoya vs Mayweather jr. Not only would it be the fight of the year, we would also see IF Mayweather is REALLY the pound for pound best in the world, WHICH I REALLY DOUBT!!

we've already seen that fight and it didn't came out as expected ... it was big but it was a bit boring ... although de la hoya vs trinidad is a big fight ... de la hoya vs mayweather is bigger! and this is the fight that certainly makes sense as of now ...

DLH should fight him, but at 154 lbs. If DLH doesn't run, he should win the fight easy. (We all know Tito didn't really beat him. At least not convincingly).
