Title: RICE KRISPIE TREATS
Categories: Candies, Desserts
Yield: 24 servings

1/4 c Margarine or butter
1 pk 10 oz. mini marshmallows
6 c Rice Krispies

Melt Margarine in large deep pan over low heat. Add marshmallow and stir
until completely melted. Remove from heat add Rice Krispies and stir until
they are well coated. Using buttered spatula press mixture into buttered
pan 13x9x2. Cut when cool.

VARIATION: Stir in 1/4 cup of peanut butter into marshmallow mixture
before cereal is added. You could also use colored marshmallows too.

KELLOGG'S RICE KRISPIES TREATS

1/4 cup butter
1 (10 oz., about 40) pkg. regular marshmallows or 3 cups miniature marshmallows
6 cups Kellogg's Rice Krispies cereal

In a large saucepan, melt butter over low heat. Add the marshmallows and continue to stir until the marshmallows have completely melted. Remove from heat.
Stir in the Kellogg's Rice Krispies cereal coating them well with the melted marshmallow mixture.

Using a buttered or silicone spatula, press the mixture evenly into a 13 x 9 x 2 inch pan which has been buttered or sprayed with non-stick spray or lined with wax paper.

Cut into squares when the mixture cools.

Makes 24 squares.


MICROWAVE DIRECTIONS:

Microwave butter with marshmallows on high setting for 2 minutes in a microwave safe mixing bowl. Stir together when melted. Microwave again on high for 1 additional minute. Stir in cereal, mixing until well coated. Press into pan as above.

Kellogg's® Rice Krispies Treats® Original

3 T. margarine or butter
1 package (10 oz. about 40) regular marshmallows or 4 cups miniature marshmallows
6 cups KELLOGG'S® RICE KRISPIES® cereal

1. Melt margarine in large saucepan over low heat. Add marshmallows and stir until completely melted. Remove from heat.

2. Add KELLOGG'S RICE KRISPIES cereal. Stir until well coated.

3. Using buttered spatula or waxed paper, press mixture evenly into 13 x 9 x 2-inch pan coated with cooking spray. Cut into 2-inch squares when cool. Best if served the same day.

MICROWAVE DIRECTIONS:
In a microwave safe bowl, heat margarine and marshmallows at HIGH for 3 minutes, stirring after 2 minutes. Stir until smooth. Follow steps 2 and 3 above.Microwave cooking times may vary.

NOTE:
For best results, use fresh marshmallows.1 jar (7 oz.) marshmallow creme can be substituted for marshmallows. Diet, reduced calorie or tub margarine is not recommended.Store no more than two days in airtight container.

RICE KRISPY TREATS WITH A FLAIR

8 c. marshmallows
3-oz. butter
9 c. Rice Krispies cereal
8-oz. dark chocolate
4-oz. white chocolate
chopped nuts, sprinkles, mini M&M's

Melt butter & marshmallows together in a large pot on low heat. Mix in the Rice Krispies thoroughly & spread evenly in a 9x13” dish. Melt chocolate in a double boiler & allow to slightly cool. Cut the bars in the pan into 3x3” squares & stick a wooden skewer in each. Dip the treat into the chocolate & shake off any excess chocolate. Roll the treat in chopped nuts, colored sprinkles, or mini M&M's & allow the chocolate to set. When set, dip the treat into melted white chocolate slightly & allow it to set. Set out on a platter.

simple. melt a stick of butter. add a pkg of marshmellows. add 1 teaspoon vanilla, stir constantly. When completely melted add 2-3 cups of rice crispies or your favorite cereal. If the marshmellow stuff is too gooey then you can add a lil more of the cereal. Spoon into a buttered pan and let cool before cutting.

Add stuff if you want with the cereal like nerds,chocolate chips, coconut etc...

2006 GENERATION'S RICE CRISPY TREATS

INGREDIENTS:
1 (6 ounce) package semisweet chocolate
chips
1/2 cup peanut butter
1/3 cup butter 1 (12 ounce) package crispy corn and rice
cereal
2 cups confectioners' sugar, sifted

DIRECTIONS:
1. In a medium saucepan over medium low heat, melt together semisweet chocolate chips, peanut butter and butter.
2. Place crispy corn and rice cereal in a large bowl. Pour the chocolate chip mixture over the cereal. Sift confectioners' sugar into the mixture. Cover bowl and shake vigorously until all cereal is fully coated. Allow the mixture to cool slightly before serving.

U have to put the butter in first because ur rice crispy treats would not stick to the pot. Then u put the marshmallows in then after that put the cereals in. That is how u make the rice crispy treats.

you melt the butter first so the marshmellows want stick and the nthe krispy. i like putting peanut butter in mines

I usually melt the butter first so the marshmallows aren't stuck too bad on the bottom of the pan...then I spread the butter all over and then melt the marshmallows...but it really doesn't make a difference

the way to find out is to buy the rice krispy cereal, it's on the side of the box.
