Just the other day my boyfriend told me that he loves me, but ever since he told me this he has been acting standoffish & hasn't been calling me as much as he used to. It is really upsetting me and I don't know why he would be telling me that he loves me if he doesnt seem to be showing as much affection to me or calling me like he used to before. Even for a few days prior to him telling me "i love you" he acted the same strange way. I asked him if something was wrong because I felt like he was getting bored with our relationship, but he said that he has just been contemplating on telling me that he loves me. He said that he has told girls early in his past relationships that he loved them, but then the relationship wouldn't last too long after so that made him weary to tell me 'i love you'. But now that he has told me, he is still acting really strange. He has been working alot so we haven't been able to see eachother for awhile, but even when we do see eachother it's still kinda weird

Have you told him that you Love Him... He might need to hear it... He's probably just scared right now from past experiences...
But this needs to be talked about, and figured out...
Sometimes People push people away because they're scared of losing them... But that might not be the case... Just open up the conversation with him...
Tell him, he's been acting different... Tell him that you love him
Get the Truth out of him... Tell him that his behavior lately is making you worried...
Tell him that you miss him...

well maybe since in his past relationships they didnt work out long after he told them he loved them .. hes scared that this one will be the same since he just told you he loved you. He wouldnt tell you he loved you and then contemplate breaking up with you so dont listen to the other answers... maybe hes just scared that you guys will break up. Keep trying to talk to him.. good luck
