I agree - 1 hour. It depends on the amount of shortening that you add to the chocolate when you melt it for dipping. the thinner the dipping chocolate, the longer it takes. Also if the coating on the dipped piece is thick then it will take longer. Takes about 30 minutes for my buckeye candy, if I put it in the freezer. If your kitchen is hot and or humid it will also take longer.

IT doesn't so much dry as it simply needs to cool. There isn't a loss of moisture here, but a solidification of fats.
How long it takes depends on several variables, including the temperature of the room, the humidity, and temp of the item being coated, and the type of chocolate you're using. For example, a bar of melted dark chocolate drizzled over ice cream will set up almost immediately, whereas a creamy milk chocolate ganache poured over peanut butter centers won't really set up at all unless refrigerated (or created in a really cold region).

It shouldn't take long at all. I made solid chocolates for my wedding in molds and it only took about 5 minutes in the freezer for them to be completely solid. If you put them in the fridge I'd say 1-3 minutes.

It depends on how humid of a climate you are in. If the humidity is too high it won't dry very fast. put in a refrigerator if this is a problem. should take less than an hour otherwise.

it really doesnt take that long, I say maybe 1-2 mins especially if placed in nice cool area, not necesarily in fridge but it could be just the kitchen with good circulation. Peace.
