I think folks have taken religions wayyyyy too far, yes. I'm a Christian, and have gone to different churches. I go to a Baptist church near me right now, and I like the choir but the preacher puts me to sleep. The church I like my husband hates because while he likes the preacher, he hates the choir lol.
Point is, we choose a church based upon the method of worship we are comfortable with. If the church declared that we must believe this doctrine or that doctrine, and we disagreed with it, we'd be gone in a flash to another church.
I'd never put religious doctrine over my faith in the truth of the Bible.

And as Paul warned don't say you're of Cephas or Applos. Would he give us the same rebuke today and say Don't say you're a Baptist, Methodist, Catholic, Mormon, Jehovah's Witness or anything other than Christ's. Very Possible.
Could it be that all the religions are the great whore of Babylon?
No. The whore of Babylon (I assume the asker is referencing Rev. 17) is the leadership of the US. (Current ?)

Indeed, all such "divisions": Mark & AVOID them which cause "divisions": Romans 16:17. Indeed, almost all religions go whoring with law, after being delivered from the law, which is called "adult-ery", even spiritual adultery called spiritual wickedness; common also among those who are spiritual, even among those claiming to be espoused to Christ: the end of the law. And biblical espousal(engagement) is as marriage, only plausible by divorce, which is sin; And sin, when "it is finished", brings forth death, the ultimate divorce from His Grace and Truth lives on, beyond those not allowed to continue (the human race) by reason of death; because they know not life + death does NOT end with life, nor that the narrow way only "leadeth" unto life is not a new and dead way, rather "a new and living way" which us folk (whom God hath given the victory to) go on unto, especially in the third day is also the seventh when counting the days in John 1 & 2:1.
Indeed, all religions except one: "pure religion" (James 1:27; Holy Bible). Pure religion notably paid a "visit" (not a ransom nor a reward), to those "afflicted"(not to the righteous); Afflicted with a bad case of life + death does NOT end with life. Pure religion (also called firstly pure wisdom from above: Grace unto you from God our Father) which is perfect and also merciful, notably arrived "undefiled" and also remained "unspotted", in such a come and go visitation, to the world God so loved he sent his Son NOT to condemn(law) the world; No, not this, but that: through him ("through Jesus->Christ" end focuses on "Christ": the end of the law) the world might be saved(graced).
Our Father, deliver us from evil: Mt 6:13
We are delivered from the law: Rom 7:6
What remaineth is rest(peace) to the people of God;
Via the 2nd of 2 things God our Saviour will have:
1- all men saved(only: graced and truthed only)
2- all men aware what they're delivered from: law
Whatsoever is not of faith is sin: Romans 14:23
The law is not of faith: Gal 3:12("unto churches")
The GRACE of our Lord Jesus Christ with you all. Amen.

"Behold, I, the Lord, utter my voice, and it would be obeyed. Wherefore, verily I say, permit the depraved take heed, and permit the rebellious worry and tremble; and permit the unbelieving carry their lips, for the day of wrath shall bump into them as a whirlwind, and all flesh shall understand that i'm God." -section sixty 3
