If you really want to lose the weight you shouldn't walk...run, it burns way more calories. I stay at about 800 to 1000 calories a day and I run 5 to 8 miles five days a week. I'm 106 lbs. and I wear a 1/2! Good luck!

You asked for smart answers, well here is mine.

Firstly, a size 8 is nothing to be ashamed of, especially not at 5ft7. 135lb and 5ft7 is actually pretty good, so you should not aim to lose more than 10lb which will make you about a size 6, and that is pretty much ideal for your height.

As for eating 700 calories a day, if you do that, all that will happen is you lose a lot of muscle. Basically all that muscle you are building doing your exericse, will just be burnt off straight away, leaving the fat stores in reserve. When you finally reach your goal (whatever that may be), and start eating normally, you will find that you will start gaining fat, so you may end up with a higher body fat percentage and less muscle. Is that what you are trying to acheive? No, I didn't think so.

You should not aim to lose more than 2lb per week and not eat less than 1,200 calories per day. If you choose to ignore the advice given to you here, then you only have yourself to blame, when everything I said above happens to you.

I hope you will take notice of what is being said here. HTH.

Ok I won't tell you it's unhealthy, I'll tell you that if you do it, you are anorexic, and you are going to die. At 5'8", if you eat 1770 calories per day you will maintain a weight of 80 pounds.

At 5'8", you probably should be wearing a size eight. Seriously, you need to rethink this, before you end up in the hospital. Never go below 1200 calories or your metabolism will think you are starving and will slow down.

To lose weight, a person has to reduce the calorie intake by some amount by modifying their diet. A diet without sufficient nutrients will only increase the appetite of the person trying to lose weight. Since most people combine a diet with an exercise plan, additional nutrients are required for the growth of muscles required to increase the metabolic rate required for long term weight loss. It all depends on your body type and weight. At 700 calories a day, you should see a significant reduction in your weight in no time. It's not unhealthy if this is a temporary weight loss program but over a long period of time it could be.

but it is unhealthy!!!! any health expert will tell u to eat atleast 1200 calories. eat a balance of protien/complex carbs n drink lots of water. dont expect to be perfect in a month....but if u work hard n do it right, you will change your life/appearence for the best. rome wasnt built in a day, abs dont show over night...you will not see the results u want without working for it!

it really depends on where those 700 calories are coming from...salad ? a mcdonalds meal ? i know you don't want to hear that its unhealthy but if you cut out certain things that are important to live....protein, iron, calcium, etc. you are going to put urself into the hospital or ur going to loose weight so fast that ppl are going to think that you have an eating disorder!

Yes, I am smart enough to know that you are already underweight (or at the cusp) as it is. Don't lose anymore weight. If you want to tone up what you have do strength training. There is no reason for you to lose any weight.

hahaha a size 8?! there is nothing wrong with that either! what you are doing is fine, just keep your diet healthy and don't push it or else you will start losing strength and not weight. stay well hydrated and you'll be fine within a month. i hope you are running also.
