I've always thought it would be interesting to stand at the gates of hell and listen to the excuses humans would give about why they felt they didn't deserve to go to hell.

I'm sure alot of people that attended church on a regular bases would be very confused and in denial of the situation and have alot of reasons why they didn't deserve it. And I would find it fasinating that they couldn't see why they were there.

The nonbelievers would probably show all sorts of different reactions, some would repent while others would still be in denial even though it's before their own eyes.

I've always been an intellect and to witness this would teach me things about humans but I'm sure it would get old after awhile, the poor gate keeper of hell probably hears the same things over and over, that would be hell in a sense.

But do you think God would mind me doing this?

Remember the story of the rich man and Lazarus that Jesus told? The rich man knew instinctively as soon as he got there why he was there - because he asked if Lazarus could go back and warn his family of hell. That is probably part of the torture of hell - is knowing exactly why you are there and how easy it could have been to avoid the place.

If you could listen - why would you want to? I think it would be heartbreaking.

Well, first of all, it's not going to happen for the following reasons:
1) There will be no excuses at the gates of hell. Their "explanations" will be given on Judgement Day, before all of creation.
2) Even if that was the way it worked, God wouldn't let you do it.
However, you could post a question on this forum: "Do you believe you are going to heaven? Why or why not?"

With God there is nothing impossible, Don't got confuse. You need to open your heart to accept God in your life and open your earl to listen and learn more about God. God will fulfill your emptiness and your confusion with Joy and wisdom. God always love you and never leave you. There is no big sin or small sin, just confess in front of God and God will forgive you base on the Holy Bible.
God Bless You

im not sure but what u just said made sense. That what alot of ppl who go to church eery Sunday would think. They would be wondering why they are in hell. Its the praises that re real adn the leading in life as a true Christian without judging ppl or without doing the things of the world. Like secular music and sex drugs and more. But mostly, like 80% out of a hundred is about ur realtionship with God. If u really love Hima nd really trust in Him when He wants us to do something that we may feel like is wrong. Or by helping others who need Him and spreading His word. But tey think that just cuz they went to church that means that they are automatically going to Heaven. Just like how they think they cuold cuzz and swear everyday adn listent o secular music all day but go ito teh house of God with the way that they have been acting on Earth. But yeha hte non-believers should not even be confused cuz ppl over and over and over again tel them to turnt o Christ ans say no adn call Him mean names like it will hurt Him and disrespect Him. But what are they going to say? Oh God1 I sorry, I thought that they were just kidding adn that it wasn't true! I thought it was just a lie! Thats why i try my best to spread His word so that they can't say that they never haerd of God adn never knew about Him and have an excuse. But i feel bad for the ones that are consistently truning Him away.

But i don't think that God would think bad of u for wondering of what is probabaly true of how the ppl are going to react when they are sent to Hell. But just don't feel so confident cuz God could quickly change eveyrhting. Just remeber to humble ur self to God adn to everything.

You can't do it on your own. God has to show you.

I'll give you a couple examples. One religious man had a heart attack & died, He went to the gates of hell. He cried out to God asking why because he went to church & did this & that... Jesus told him that he wasn't born again & brought him back to life. Where he was in the hospital & had another heart attack. Where He found himself at hells gates again. The same conversation happened & Jesus brought him back to life. Where he became a born again Christian this time.

A personal nightmare I had shortly after Al Zaquari the terrorist died. It was a few moments of terror, where I cried for Jesus in my dream standing on my bed. After I woke up, I asked God why I had such a horrible dream? Did God want me to have it? I waited. Jesus answered, "I wanted you to have that dream.". I questioned & waited again. Jesus asked, "Are you glad terrorists go to hell?". I thought about it. Of course not. So my prayer for this enemy changed a little. I had thought it was a great victory. But no one would want to go to this place of terror.

Ask God to reveal something to you. You can't do it without him anyway.

Human suffering is not for our intellectual amusement. I think there's something a little perverse in that desire, myself.

You can get rationalizations anywhere. Don't you think if you saw them fighting for more than their lives (the eternal state of their souls), it would be more horrible than you could watch?

I doubt He'd mind, but do you really think they give folks the opportunity to argue at the gates of hell? lol I don't think so.

Non-believers of what? The truth? Are you sure you have the Truth so as to know when you see a non-believer? When you can as a person by yourself show proof of Truth then you can consider the situation of non-believers and rejoice in their damnation if that will be the case. As an intellectual, that you profess to be, I would like to know where you got your proof that is so compelling, that it would be sin to not acknowledge it as the Truth.

I think that God is sorry that any one would believe that He is capable of the things that He is accused of doing in the bible. If there was a hell, and there is not, God would surely send the men who wrote those lies in the bible straight there. Do not pass go, do not collect $200.00.

If you are witness to it then you are there..but then again I think those who will enter paradise are those who know they don't deserve it and are only there by the grace of a loving forgiving God.
