what does it mean when a guy likes you and he tells you that but when he is around his friends he does'nt talk to you that much and he is like jello when you are alone

it means he really likes you but thinks he has to uphold the macho thing in front of the guys.
They are like that all their lives. LOL They don't wanna come across whipped.
Show the boy some compassion, and make his friends think he is just the most macho guy in the world. Will be good for his ego and trust me you will reap the benefits when he is alone with you and doesn't have to be so uptight.
Boys are so cute. LOL

Most guys have a persona around their friends and one around girls, especially girls they like. Plus, his friends might be waiting for any opportunity to tease him about his girl. Just remember if he can't be himself around all kinds of people, then he might not be someone you want to date.
