Yes I do and I am very sorry I ever did it. I hope one day I will have the courage to speak about it and stop young women from doing the same thing I did. Still, I am in a place where I can't and won't hold anything against someone who does it because I did, and then I changed my heart and I have regret and one day they might as well.

Ronintama, you've pretty much summed up the attitude which sounds smart but isn't that sound when you think about it.
You say, "One death or two deaths?" in an attempt to prove that abortion is the lesser of two evils. But is that really the issue? The problem is our culture, where everyone cares first off for themselves. They see how having a baby could ruin their reputation, be a lot of trouble to carry and then a lot of trouble to raise or an emotional difficulty to give away. But if this was a three-year old instead of an unborn... would you like to admit that you were really looking out for yourself before a completely helpless and innocent being?
People don't offer enough support to those who want to have their babies. Although there are shelters and things like that for unwed and teenage mothers, there aren't enough. That is not the problem of the people who run them- they're already helping, but they need more people to join them.
No wonder girls get back alley abortions- they think that there's no other choice for them and that if they don't, their lives will be ruined. People around them should show their support of the decision to keep the baby alive. There's always adoption, which seems to me to be extremely "logical". You give the baby to someone who can't have a baby, they're happy; you're happy that you don't have the huge responsibility of raising a human; you don't suffer the dibilitating side effects that often plague women who have abortions. You get to know that you brought a child into the world and gave it a shot to live.
And just because something's in your body doesn't mean you get to decide what to do with it. I think anyone would agree that if you suddenly decided to chop off your own arm you would definitely be restrained by family or friends or (later) a straightjacket at the mental hospital. Besides, with an actual abortion, it's a BABY. You couldn't decide to kill your born children because they're YOURS. You'd get thrown in jail, obviously. They have a right to life, and its not anyone's right to decide whether they will take it away from them. Even a mother.
So actually, I don't think that the question originally asked was a good one to prove your point but the concept I wholeheartedly agree with!

That argument of whether that aborted child could have been Hitler or Osama is just as valid as your argument. It's not weak.
But, to answer your question - each child that is born has the same chance at birth to be whatever. A brain surgeon, a Nobel Laureat, a terrorist.
The chance though that a child from someone who is considering abortion or in a position where abortion is the only feasible choice becoming something more than a statistic is probably pretty low. It's not impossible but most likely improbable.
Like I've said many times before... Ignorance is Bliss... isn't it?

Being the next mass murderer is more probable than the child curing cancer. More people have been killers, than people that cure aids. So logically the argument on the child being like Hitler is a stronger argument than the one for it being the guy who cures cancer. Just another reason to be pro-choice. That and the fact that what other people do to their bodies is none of your business.
What if I am not pro-choice on you eating junk food, or piercing your ears? The fetus is alive does not change it. Your body is alive, so you should not put holes in it, or junk food. You see? It is your busines if it is your body (including the fetus, because what you eat while pregnant effects it).

I'm pro-choice and have never had an abortion so... your question doesn't apply to me, apparently. I mean, you ARE making the assumption that "pro abortion and choice people" have had an abortion, right? That's why you're asking if they wonder whether the baby THEY aborted could've been "so and so"... right?
Nikki..... kiddo...... saying that the baby could've been the next Hitler IS JUST AS WEAK as saying the baby could've been the one to discover a cure for cancer. SAME DIFFERENCE, SWEETY!!!

because of the fact, you ought to have a call. If the mummy grew to become into sure to die throughout childbirth or being pregnant, or maybe a severe threat, does the existence no longer yet in this worldwide take priority over the single already right here with different toddlers and a husband, relatives etc? overdue degree terminations I disagree with, my brother grew to become into born in simple terms after the present uk decrease on abortions, constructive, he grew to become into in an incubator for 3 months, had to have heart surgical treatment etc later, yet he's in simple terms advantageous.. If somebody has been sexually abused, and turns into pregnant, is it honest to convey that newborn into the worldwide? How lots of a psychological concern might it reason the newborn to understand that? They constantly discover out. If the newborn has no threat of survival previous some seconds, because of defects detected beforehand of transport, at an early degree, is it honest on the newborn to make or no longer that's born, just to die? regarding birth control..it has constantly puzzled me, even while i grew to become right into a catholic...i will understand being against contraceptions that artwork with the aid of struggling with an already fertilised egg staying interior the womb (understand doesnt propose I agree..a equipment deal of cells would not equivalent a human)...yet i'm no longer able to understand the stance against contraceptions that preclude eggs being released, yet meh, that's in simple terms me. My substantial reason of being extremely anti abortion is that I extremely have seen first hand the mess it makes of pals and kinfolk, in spite of if, i'm additionally conscious that existence isn't constantly as we want it would be, and, there are situations as quickly as we could desire to constantly evaluate the residing earlier we evaluate the no longer yet born. might you be arranged to enable your spouse die, because of the fact abortion is misguided?

I am Pro-Life, I believe in dignity of a fetus or old sick one. I have been a Hospice volunteer, the dignity of the dying is a special passing, when they know where their destination is going to be. They have a peace about them. I ramble... sorry
The baby that has been aborted, has had no rights to freedom & happiness as someone else made that decision, for them. The mother has more rights then the unborn fetus. And they don't address the feelings & shame associated with abortion. My sister works in a crisis pregnancy center. 80% of women who look at a sonogram, will not choose the abortion.
It is legal genocide sanctioned by the states.

Your logic is flawed. You pooh-poohed an argument, saying that the aborted fetus could have been the next Hitler, but that is the EXACT same argument you put forth. Both are flawed because both sides can come up with options that cancel the other out. You need to think things through before you post them.

the people who abort their children aren't aborting future scientists, people who get abortions are rarely fortunate enough to afford medical college. And regardless of that, what if the teenage parent is the one to discover a cure for AIDs or cancer, but only if they complete college and highschool without the burdens of a child.
Another note... illegalizing abortions in the past has just led to dangerous and unsanitary home abortions. It can kill both the child and the mother. How would you feel if you heard the story of a teenage girl dead because of a coathanger up her vagina. That kind of thing would happen.

Today abortion is used as a method of birth control. It's unfortunate, but true. So, in answer to your question, I'm guessing the thought that most people are having when they are considering abortion is not what the child could be, but how much trouble they will be in if someone finds out they are pregnant. People now a days only think for themselves, so someone who gets pregnant and doesn't want to be, won't be thinking of the fetus, just themselves. It's their choice, so they will choose it, and not be deterred from it.
