The first book I remember reading all on my own was
Mary Ann's Mud Day
by Janice Udry
I remember that I had a cold and was reading it to my dollies, all stuffed up and I did not realize that my mommy was recording me and I used to play it back all the time. I was in first grade and I really wish that I kept the book (but it was a library book!!). Love that book.
One of my favorite memories from when I was little.

The first book i've ever read was Green Eggs and Ham by Dr. Seuss (not sure if I spelt his name right) and yes I do still have it. When I was younger I would laugh at that book for 5 minutes because I thought it was so clever. I don't really read much but i'll never forget that book.♥

The first book I read all by myself was called "The Little House" and I recently bought it for my son. It was written in 1959 (well before I was born...lol) and has also been turned into a cartoon.

They were series books called Boyfriends/Girlfriends. I never got into books like I did at that age 12/13ish. They were such corny titles too "A lesson for Jake", "Claire gets Hurt", "Tonia gets Even"
I do still have them, in storage somewhere in my dad's house.

I honestly do not remember lol. I do remember my Daddy reading to me and my brother a story that repeated "the goblins'll get you if you don't watch out" but can't find the title!

Mine was mother Gooses Nursery Rhymes. I read that with my mom and my siblings when I was younger!! I kept it for my daughter and now my grandchildren have it.
