Can tourettes syndrom cause you to have a short temper or be easily frusterated without reason why? I have tourettes and sometimes I get like this. I'll get angry and not have a reason to be, or I'll get really frusterated and not know why i feel that way. I talked to a guy with tourettes who says he feels the exact same. I'm just wondering if it has anything to do with having tourettes.

Wow Big Perm...you only make yourself look stupid. If you knew anything about tourettes then you would know only a very small percentage of people with it actaully have outbursts like that...but if making fun of me makes you feel better about yourself or keeps you from picking on another person then I'm glad I could be of some assistance.

My son, who is 11 has TS. He is easily frustrated. It takes a lot of patience just to get simple tasks done, and for a pre-teen, that's hard! Yes, he sometimes states that he's mad, but for no reason. It does not last long and he's not violent or anything. It's just the frustration of having 1000 interruptions an hour to your life. Getting into a rhythm of things can be tough.

I don't think it's the Tourettes itself that causes it, but the effects of having it on your life that cause the frustrations.

I have Tourette's and I can tell you that I have always had problems with impulse control. I get angry easily and say the wrong things at the wrong times. Things just seem to pop out of my mouth. It has gotten better as I have gotten older, but some of that may be an increase in wisdom too.

Many times people with Tourette's have problems with impulse control.

I have Tourette's, and I have the same problem. It was very bad when I was a little kid, and though I still feel the same way, I can control it more effectively now as an adult.
If you're of age, cannabis can help, but you should check with your doctor before trying it.
A glass of wine can sometimes help, if you're not an alcoholic of course.

I have a very good friend with tourettes syndrome and he has a short temper. interestingly enough he can't figure out why his has issues with his adult children. I think that it may depend on the degree of the tourettes syndrome because I have another friend and she doesn't seem to have as many issues with i as my other friend does.

I do applaud you though on your ability to realize it, not everyone does realize it is an issue not matter what their issues are.

good luck

The tics you have are interfering with your everyday activities in life. You are probably frustrated because of this, thus acting out in anger.

I think it's just a frustrating disorder in general.
