He never said its unacceptable to think for yourself. You can't just take part of a phrase and put it in quotes. He said "Its unacceptable to think that the action of the US is comparable to the action of terrorist extremist." The context of which is our action of playing rock music and keeping terrorist up past their bedtimes and them killing 3,000 Americans in cold blood at the World Trade Center and in Madrid, London, and around the world.
To answer your question, I support Bush because I don't want people around the world getting killed by terrorist. I'm more concerned with figuring out how to prevent attacks against the western world than I am about the feelings of the terrorist who want to kill themselves and innocent people in order to praise Allah.

The fall of America !! How awful and it is something we had all better be ready for and not let it happen. We need to stand up and defend our Government. Hopefully, our leaders of this Great Nation will know what to do to protect this soil and keep it Free. Since 9/11, this is what our President has been doing . He has been keeping our security as tight as he can. We need to stand together to help him. Stand behind him and make sure our Freedom is not taken away from us. No President wants this people to suffer. He defends them and tries to do the best he can. But his own people do not need to destroy him either. It is every Americans duty to stand behind our President. He was voted in by the people. Now for God's sake help him. You will think differently if our shores are taken over by evil that don't give a damned for any of us American's. We need to remain United. This is what America stands for : The United States of America.

Those are strange words to come out of a presidents mouth.are we supposed to follow blindly, not to question, not to have a dissenting opinion ? Are we no longer a democracy ? The Islamic extremest do that,Hitlers followers did that. Is that the America you want ? The damage that has been done to this country by this administration will become a dark day in our nations history.I am so ashamed of this president and what faces he shows to the world. He is the reason that the other nations of the world no longer have respect for this country. Will it ever end?

I wonder if the writer here is referencing somehow the very recent comments of the Venezuelan and Iranian presidents at the United Nations? It is important that we maintain our self-respect in this, and not pretend that these people have a good point. (By the way, I am extremely liberal, and would never, EVER consider voting for GW Bush. And I am also too self-respecting to give these amateur demagogues from Venezuela and Iran any credence. There are some kinds of speech that lies beyond the pale, and this invective at the UN is exemplary!)

I don't trust any of those in Washington. Sometimes it is a choice of two evils.
Future historians will be able to gather information from the Jimmy Carter Library, the Gerald Ford Library, the Ronald Reagan Library, and the Bill Clinton Adult Bookstore. And the set of books for Dummies by Bush.

I think people who support Bush, do so because they don't know anything about life. They probably have lived in one area all of their lives and haven't seen other parts of the country or world. When you are isolated you believe anything you hear. The mind is capable of making decisions, but not if you don't know any better. And those are the Americans who support Bush.

The majority of the u.s. public only sees thier front lawn. They are instatutionalize in a system. They only know what they have been told, and believe only what they see.
The few of us that are on the inside looking out,
wonder what the view is on the outside looking in.
Things are changing,
if you listen you can hear a revolution calling.
People are asking unwanted questions and wanting answers.
Our goverment has lost touch us and thier original purpuse.
The people who had trusted and had faith in the goverment,
are afriad of being betrade.
We must face the truth no matter how horrible it is.
The only thing we have to fear is fear itself.
You can see it all around,
people talking & whispering,
and it is growing.
The relics of the old world can't see it,
they don't there power slipping away.
We have lost faith in them.
It is not just our leader and his "mien kolmp"
there are those around him,
those who helped him,
and thoughs who let him win.
We are all at fault.

If kniggs had any common sense he would know Haliburton has nothing to do with it.And what does this have to do with the question? I support Bush because he knows more than he can tell us. And, I had much rather believe him than the people who hate us,and many of them are on here answering with stupid answers!

Because they are brainwashed into believing that gays are evil and so is abortion. Then there's the whole war thing, they say they are better at waging war than democrats. My argument is, it's 5 years later and they still have yet to catch the one responsible for the attacks on the US. Then they went into their "pre-pre-emptive war," and they can't seem to get that one straight either. Come to find out, people in America(especially southern states) are just as susceptible to propaganda as those who don't know better in third world countries.
