It is most likey someone trying to scare you. Be careful aobut opening the door to someone. Friend or Foe - you just never know.
Not these days. You can't be too careful. Just make something up and say its your parents rules or whatever.
It is not illegal for you or your parents. For a matter of hours anyway. Now if your parents left you for 3-4 days that may be a problem.
Call the police and ask if they could come by and inspect the property - too look around for anyone that shouldn't be there. Just say it would make you feel better.

it depends on the city ordinances in your community regarding being home alone... the general age limit is between 10 and 12. it could be a prank... and remember never never never let anyone know you're home alone and never answer the door to a stranger... if the police show up you DO NOT have to answer the door if you don't want too.

It depends on the state. Some states allows individuals 12 and older to stay home alone. Most cases, I would say they have the capability to do the right things and know what to do if something is wrong and what to do.

Its not against the law to be home alone taking care of your
home/property, provided you dont invite possible predators.
Inform anybody you are alone when you are in danger or some-
thing wrong in your house. 1st to do, call 911 or Police, they
are the best.

Hmmm....I don't think so. I mean they don't really know if you're 12 or not or where you live, so I wouldn't worry about it. I'm 13 and stay home alone all the time. I'm sure they were just kidding, but make sure to lock the door and everything.

First of all it's probally a crank caller. Don't accept anymore calls. They won't know your alone if your in ded are unless you tell them. So calm down. The next thing is if you are alone you should try and get hold of your parents and letting them know what happen.

I'm not sure what the laws are in your state, but I wouldn't worry about it, I am sure you are just fine. I leave my 11 yr old home alone all the time.

You have a meddlesome neighbor who is going to report your age and aloneness to the cops so the child-protection agency in your community will come take you away.
There is NOTHING to relax about.
Your parents need to immediately arrange for a baby sitter or an afterschool service to you to stay at while they are at work.
UNLESS YOUR PARENTS DO THIS, you will never see them again.
YOUR NEIGHBOR IS A REAL WINNER, HUH?
