how much did you spend? do you know how much they spent? is it possible to have a wedding there when you have a $50,000 dollar budget?

I live in chicago and there is a gorgeous ritz carlton downtown. the ballroom i want is the carlton room it holds 220 people. i am inviting about 200 people. they dont have their prices on their site. thanks everybody!

it really depends on your location - 50K in some states is ovver the top but in NY, Chicago or other 1st tiered cities - that's nothing! I would recommend going to the website and checking onut their wedding pacakges. then look at the ballroom space. realize if their ballroom holds 400 and you only have 200 you will probably have to spend double or at least just about double. the ballrooms generally have a food & beverage minimum on the space - this is based upon the maximum revenues for the space.

I'm not sure. I sure would hope so, that is a lot of money to spend!! However, it is one of the most special days of your life so, go all out :)
