Why would we burn down the churches? Churches, cathedrals, mosques, and temples contain some of the best examples of architecture and artwork for all eras of history. Their historical value on that basis alone would make their destruction a crime.

I am a christian and I say you can burn down as many of them as you want. Christ doesn't inhabit a building to me, he inhabits my heart. I do not even attend a church, in fact, I study the bible and pray in the comfort of my own home. Then I do not have to worry about some "religious leader" spoon feeding me what he thinks I need from the bible. Sounds like you may have been harrassed much by zealots. It happens but, deal and move on. Be happy in your atheism and I will be happy in my Christianity. Too bad more people can't be that way.

What hurt does it do you that we pray in churches? We pray everywhere! You can't burn down a church and make us not believe. You can't take away our bibles and make us not believe. The Holy Spirit resides within us and there is no way that can ever be taken away from us. May the Lord lift up the scales over your eyes and see the truth!

That would be immoral as well as illegal. As a Humanist, I believe in freedom of conscience. It's not for me to choose another's religion or moral philosophy for him. And churches are not only about prayer; they also work to feed the hungry and house the homeless. We non-theists would do better to try to match their examples of service rather than burn their buildings.

Even during the Soviet Union they did not burn Churches and they were able to do that, they left mane Churches active but they try to discourage people from religion.

You can burn the buildings, but God's church will survive.

Much like how I could ban a person's Yahoo questions, but their hatred would continue.

Before suggesting threats, perhaps you should come to know what you'd attempt to destroy. I suggest reading the Bible.

May God bless you.

You know, "Atheist" suggests that plain and simply, you don't believe in God.

YOu are clearly something else, bent on offending and hurting people. I dont' care if you dont' believe in God. Your loss.

No. I may not believe in god but I do respect people's choice to believe in him/her if they so choose.
