I do know that depression is mental and can become physical, which means, you can feel aches and pains and things like that. i did find a good site that actually has a lot of different signs of depression. Physical and mentally. I decided to list the things the site said.
Symptoms of Depression
ALTHOUGH it is often classed as 'mental illness', clinical depression often has as many physical symptoms as mental. The feelings or emotions that are depression symptoms actually begin to cause the physical effects. How this happens is a vital part of understanding depression and the symptoms that come with it.
If you are depressed at the moment some of the following symptoms may sound familiar:
-You feel miserable and sad.
-You feel exhausted a lot of the time with no energy .
-You feel as if even the smallest tasks are sometimes impossible.
-You seldom enjoy the things that you used to enjoy-you may be -off sex or food or may 'comfort eat' to excess.
-You feel very anxious sometimes.
-You don't want to see people or are scared to be left alone. Social activity may feel hard or impossible.
-You find it difficult to think clearly.
-You feel like a failure and/or feel guilty a lot of the time.
-You feel a burden to others.
-You sometimes feel that life isn't worth living.
-You can see no future. There is a loss of hope. You feel all you've ever done is make mistakes and that's all that you ever will do.
-You feel irritable or angry more than usual.
-You feel you have no confidence.
-You spend a lot of time thinking about what has gone wrong, what will go wrong or what is wrong about yourself as a person. You may also feel guilty sometimes about being critical of others (or even thinking critically about them).
-You feel that life is unfair.
-You have difficulty sleeping or wake up very early in the morning and can't sleep again. You seem to dream all night long and sometimes have disturbing dreams.
-You feel that life has/is 'passing you by.'
-You may have physical aches and pains which appear to have no physical cause, such as back pain.
That is just a bit of what I read. i will leave the site for you too if you feelt hat you want to read it.
Hope you feel better soon!

It's this wealth of depression symptoms, and the broad scope that confuses many people as to what depression actually is. Explanations rarely cover all the symptoms, and everybody's experience is different.

first thing to know (i am a sufferer), is that everyone has bad days, to depressed people everyday is a bad day...that is not normal....so if only some days suck, your just a regular person who's life sux sometimes....not wanting to get out of bed, crying a lot, not eating right, letting you body go, anti social, long list of bad things...seek help if you are there, its not crazy to get help, its crazy to not get help, you can be normal again....good luck

If you have had at least five of the depression symptoms listed below - especially if you feel depressed and have lost interest in things that you used to enjoy - you may be suffering from depression.
1. Depressed Mood
A person may report feeling "sad" or "empty" or may cry frequently. Children and adolescents may exhibit irritability.
2. Decreased Interest or Pleasure
A person may show markedly diminished interest or pleasure in all, or almost all, daily activities.
3. Weight Changes
Significant changes in weight when not attempting to gain or lose (a gain or loss of 5% or more in a month) may be indicative of depression. In children, this may also present as a failure to make expected weight gains.
4. Sleep Disturbances
Insomnia or sleeping too much may be a symptom of depression.
5. Psychomotor Agitation or Retardation
The person may be observed to be either agitated and restless or physically slowed down in their movements.
6. Fatigue
Deep fatigue or a loss of energy is a symptom of depression.
7. Feelings of Worthlessness or Guilt
A depressed person may feel that they have no value or they may feel inappropriately guilty about things they have no control over.
8. "Brain Fog"
A depressed person may have a diminished ability to think, concentrate or make decisions.
9. Thoughts of Death
A depressed person may have frequent thoughts of death and suicide, although they may or may not have an actual plan for carrying it out.
