I just got out of a 6 year relationship, which the last 2 years was horrible and boring. Now me and this guy, are really liking each other, the date we went out on was beautiful and we knew each other since Jr. HIgh, but the distance and the time apart is something I'm worried about because he's a marine. Do you think that time away from this person is a good thing because I just got out a relationship? Or would it make things harder?

sometimes you need a test like this to tell if it's real or not.Q: do you want to spend more time with him?A: it sounds to me like you do.Q: is it really the distance or is it him being a marine?A: I think it's him being a marine that worries you cause you never know where they will send him or if he's in harms way.( I know this because I am a marine and have been there and done that) Time away will give you more time to think about the reasons you miss him and also cause you to grow more fond of him. Trust your heart, you and you alone can only tell if this is meant to be,so many people will tell you that your just waisting time,your not. Listen to an Elton John song called" that's why they call it the blues" this may put this in perspective for you. Life is hard and that's just the way it is,but if you see the things in life that make them worthwhile you may just be OK.
