High School...so like 14 -15. Some would say at that age that kids don't know what dating is but I feel that you gotta let them start at some point. That's what high school is about, dating, socializing, dances, sports, etc. Let's face it, in high school its not really dating anyways, atleast not dating to the degree that those of us that are older think about it. Having your parents drop you off for a dinner and movie is not really dating...lol. But you gotta let them start at some point and I think high school is a good starting point.

Age 16 is a good age to start dating. However, you probably should not just date one steady person at this age. It is best to get to know a variety of people and their personalities. You will have time in your late teens or early 20's to steady date with the one you think you might marry. Best of luck to you.

I think any age that you have that special feeling for someone. I had my first boyfriend in the fifth grade and that was the perfect time to start that stage of life. But I haven't been on my first date yet but when the time is perfect I will never forget my first date.

I'm 61 years old. I went to school in the early 60s. I started at 17. And at 18 I went to Vietnam! 15 or 16 you'r too young. Don't think I'm trying to be unfair. But if your boyfriend has met you parents, and he is ok and don't do drugs, He'll be ok!! But let you'r parents meet him first!!
