posting all these bad things about how this illegal immigrant did this, or this illegal immigrant did that
you cannot, and i can't stress this enough, judge a WHOLE group of people for what a segment of that group did
there are a lot of bad people in america too, more than bad illegal immigrants, does that mean america is bad?
heck no! don't judge. these people are just desperate and i don't care what anyone says, they do effect most people directly
some may argue that they don't pay taxes: hello! when you buy something at a store you have to pay taxes. also, if amnesty was offered, they would become citizens, therefore able to pay taxes
this is not a hard thing, people. think about it for a second. how scary can a few farmers, janitors, lawn mowers be?? (i know this is sort of stereotyping, but it proves my point)

Why do people keep posting, saying bad things about people who post that they want their country safe from illegal immigrants? I think you got some good answers here. I think the reason you are so angrily defensive is because in your heart you know that you and your family are NOT entitled to be here. If you are illegal, what good, really, is that college education you are getting (at the cost to legal taxpaying citizens) when you could be deported at any time? What kind of a life is that to live - always having to look over your shoulder? You can never rest assured that you are all safe, ever! Wouldn't you feel so much better if you all had applied for immigration through the legal means? By living here illegally, you are basically stealing from all the immigrants who are here legally, as well as from all the legal citizens of the USA.

I agree it is stereotyping. But it would be a good idea to know if any illegals had criminal pasts. Many immigrants are fleeing economic or political oppression..But after 911 people are very leery of immigrants. Is there any way for a compromise? I heard how in some poor countries some mothers are prostitutes at night so their families can survive. The system needs to be changed within their country and ours. But can we argue against a person's right to flee oppression even if they are illegal?

Yes, there may be bad people in the USA as there are everywhere, but those people belong where they are. I don't think illegal immigrants have any rights, and certainly not the right to whinge when legitimate citizens complain that they are a drain on resources. Big deal that you pay tax on purchases. That amounts to very little compared to taxes paid by legitimate citizens. I think you have a nerve to ask a question like this.

you need to grow up and learn a little more about immigration before you decide what's what. you cannot possibly understand all the issues at hand when you are in high school. a few farmers, janitors and lawn mowers? by all means, you go stand at the border and you can decide which "few" can come in. i suspect however that you will be trampled by the millions crossing. (and right there is your high school ignorance)

You can in fact judge a whole group based on a few. That's what statistics is all about. If you have a non biased, large enough sample size you can draw conclusions about the general population.
If you had a random sample of people here illegally and asked them questions you could draw certain conclusions about them and their effect on society.
They have a huge negative effect on our country. They stifle innovation buy not providing any incentive to mechanize certain kinds of labor. They have more kids than they can pay for, which is a net drain on American taxpayers. They are largely uneducated and are more likely to be violent criminals that the American public.
Lets say someone comes here illegally to work as a janitor and brings his wife, 5 kids, his elderly parents, 20 cousines, etc. He works as a janitor and makes $5 per hour. Do you honestly think he will pay enough in taxes to support himself and all the people he just brough over for the rest of their lives?
Lets say he slips and gets injured, who will pay for him? What if he parents need nursing home care, who pays for his children't education, what about housing? What if his counsins join gangs? What if they have communicable diseases?

Because there are OVER a MILLION violent crimes committed each year by ILLEGALS!!!! These include rape, child molestation, and murder!!!!
We do have many criminals that are citizens,so we DO NOT need even more CRIMINALS over here committing serious crimes!!!!!!!
The ONLY taxes that illegals pay is sales tax (which is just a MINIMUM amount) They do NOT pay federal and state income tax OR retirement!!!!!!

I absolutely can judge all of the illegals any way I choose! Open your brain - they are not just farmers, etc. They are bankrupting all of our social services not to mention our schools! And if this isn't enough now they are (obviously) contaminating our food supply - just because they sh*t in the fields of mexico doesn't mean they can bring their nastiness to our country. I try to spend AT LEAST 1.5 hours per day writing to or phoning "the elected class" to keep them aware of my vote!
No Amnesty (by any name)
Attrition thru Local, State & Federal Enforcement
Repeal the 14th Amendment

Because they do this and they do that. It's no longer just a few, and it has gotten way out of hand. They came criminally and many continue as criminals. It's not just a few.
From the L.A Times:
1. 40% of all workers in L.A. County (L.A. County has 10 million people) are working for cash and not paying taxes. This was because they are predominantly illegal immigrants, working without a green card.
2. 95% of warrants for murder in Los Angeles are for illegal aliens.
3. 75% of people on the most wanted list in Los Angeles are illegal aliens.
4. Over 2/3 of all births in Los Angeles County are to illegal alien Mexicans on Medi-Cal, whose births were paid for by taxpayers.
5. Nearly 25% of all inmates in California detention centers are Mexican nationals here illegally.
6. Over 300,000 illegal aliens in Los Angeles County ar e living in garages.
7. The FBI reports half of all gang members in Los Angeles are most likely illegal aliens from south of the border.
8. Nearly 60% of all occupants of HUD properties are illegal.
9. 21 radio stations in L.A. are Spanish speaking.
10. In L.A. County 5.1 million people speak English. 3.9 million speak Spanish (10.2 million people in L.A.County).
(All the above from the Los Angeles Times)
Less than 2% of illegal aliens are picking our crops, but 29% are on welfare.
Over 70% of the United States' annual population growth (and over 90% of California, Florida, and New York) results from immigration.
The cost of immigration to the American taxpayer in 1997 was, (after subtracting taxes immigrants pay), a NET $70 BILLION a year, [Professor Donald Huddle, Rice University]. The lifetime fiscal impact (taxes paid minus services used) for the average adult Mexican immigrant is a NEGATIVE number.
29% of inmates in federal prisons are illegal aliens.
