yes absulotely, most cameras esp. digital have options to make black and white pictures, on top of that when u download the pictures from ur camera to ur computer the program in ur computer will give u the option to do many things, such as crop, rotate, remove red eye, add borders, and many more... so dont worry buy the camera u have in mind and enjoy.
also if u dnt have a computer and ur taking the digital photos on the memory card or cds to the photo shop tell them that u want the picture b/w.

At this point, I believe there is only color Digital Cameras but if you take some pictures with your digital camera, bring them to Walgreen's where the Fuji Aladdin Kiosk is. Place your digital media card into the slot and edit your photos. There you can see your images, edit them to BLACK AND WHITE. This way, you can still enjoy a set in color if you want. It only costs you 29 cents a 4x6 size print. On some days, you can get over 50 - 4x6 prints for 19 cents a print = $9.50. Tell your friends about us. You can even go under Walgreen's.com > Photo and open an Internet acct. to send Photo Internet Orders to the Walgreen's of your choice. Don't worry about the color images, you can edit photos into B&W before you send them through Internet.
Hope this helps!

Many digital cameras have this ability buried in the menu structure somewhere. In My Nikon 5400, it is found under "Saturation control," of all places. I had to search for a while before I found it, but I knew it was there. In my other cameras it's easier......

If not, you can do this with pretty much any imaging software. In Photoshop, just hit [CTRL]+[SHIFT]+[U] to "remove color," leaving a black and white image. The menu sequence is Enhance>Adjust Color>Remove color. I'm sure it is similar in other programs.

Some of them (Sony's) give you an option. For any other camera you can go to your PC's photo processing program and delete the color to make a gray-scale picture.

yes ... many Point&Shot (compact), Superzoom and DSLR have this option - Black & White. Just check the user manual, look around settings related with efects or filters. At any time you can convert a color photo in a black & white one using picasa (free), gimp (free) or photoshop.

Whats cool is that they have programs like photo shop, and so on that can do that for you. If you need a photo editing program search on the internet for one, or better yet, search ebay!
