It should remain legal and on demand. That's my view.

It depends on the circumstances...
my sister got pregnant at 19, she found out the baby was seriously ill, if she had it it would need 24/7 care and was not expected to live more than a few years if it were lucky. At the time she was young and her and her boyfriend lived in a small one bedroom top floor flat. She had an abortion, i agreed it would not have been fair on her or the baby to have let it be born what sort of life would either have?
If having the baby is a health risk to either mother or child or the baby would have no sort of life (i.e. illness) or if the pregnancy is an effect of rape or the person pregnant is just a child them self, then i am all for abortion as long as its for the right reasons and it is been a thought out decision.
But if you are having an abortion just for a means of birth control then i don't agree, if you have sex then you have to live with the consequences. There are to many things these days = the pill, condoms, the morning after pill, the coil... etc etc i think there isn't much excuse for accidentally getting pregnant and then using abortion as a means of birth control. And there is always adoption if you don't want the baby.
But then again i personally have never been in the situation of having an UN wanted pregnancy, so i suppose until i have been in that situation i can not judge peoples decisions to have or not to have an abortion.

I believe that it is the women choice. If I get pregnant I have to carry this baby for 9 months, it should be my choice if I want to keep the baby or not. I dont think that I would ever have one at this point in my life, I am 26 and if I get pregnant at this juncture then I will keep it. If I get raped, then chances are then I am having an abortion, I am not keeping the baby of the man that raped me. It would be a constant reminder. Although - props to those who can handle that. I think that no matter what the situation, it is a womens choice.
For those of you that say use birth control. My god daughter was conceived with a condom and the patch birth control. I know quite a few children that were conceived with birth control. I had a misscariage at 3 month - we used a condom and I still got pregnant. People need to open there minds and realize that not all pregnancys happen when you have sex with no protection.

Life starts at the moment of conception. This life should have all rights afforded his/her mother. Life is sacred whether embryo or sick old age person.
The mother has plenty of birth control options at her disposal, her choice. But, if she has made a mistake by getting pregnant,the baby should not suffer for the mistake of the parents. Adoption is always a option. Everyone I know,who had an abortion, suffers with their decision, years after the fact.It is murder,and sadly they will suffer the consequences. It is forgivable,it just marks their life in ways they had no idea.
We must value sanctity of all life. I feel the same way if conception is from rape, I know a sixteen girl right this minute is carrying a child and she was raped. "Because someone else hurt me How can I hurt a innocent baby" She has yet to decide whether to put up for adoption or not. I know a 25 yr. old who had an abortion and 4 weeks later regretted it so much she tried to commit suicide. This is what they don't tell you. How to deal with the emotions after the abortion.

My view on Abortion of women of legal age that are not using abortion as birth control.
1) A single women, it is her body and she is the soul owner of all her reproduction organs and is not obligated to anyone but her self, and it is her soul choice to abort the fetus.
2) As a married women she has chosen to share her body with her mate legally, therefore it would be the choice of the couple.
Since I never had to make that choice, I can not imagine all the different reasons associated with such difficult life changing decisions

I think we need impartial people to advise women in these circumstances. Not pro-life or pro-choice. We should design
testing to see which women can handle the emotional stress
of such a loss, and which might not.
We should offer all options, including adoption from people
wanting children, and test fr ability to cope with such a decision.
This won't get me any points. I am very spiritual, yet cannot
understand what good it would do a spirit to die at such a young
age. And I do feel the Earth will go through a major geological upheaval, that will create trouble like we don't want to see.
Jesus said, "Woe to those who try to feed the babes in those
days." I can't understand why anyone would INSIST a child be
born right now. And beg Gods forgiveness if I influence anyone
wrongly.

1- it is a woman's private business and dilemma, it is between her and her physician;
2- it is a very inefficient way of birth control. Access to birth control and good birth control education would practically do away with abortion. Poverty, lack of opportunity and an insufficient social infrastructure, also contribute to the rise in abortions;
3- if the churches and other special interest groups that are lobbying and mobilising against abortion were to mobilise in the following ways, there would be a great improvement:
a- if a woman decides that she cannot care for a(nother) child for economic reasons, these groups could offer to support the child until they graduate from college;
b- these groups should put their energy into improving the lives of all people by ensuring that adequate housing, clothing, food, universal free access to health-care, education and the right to work and livelihood were established as human rights that everyone is entitles to.

I view it as a necessary evil, something that is found in nature (infanticide), and frankly, people should only have a say about their own bodies, not someone elses. Anti-abortion people have their hearts in the right place, but they don't seem to understand that outlawing abortion wouldn't make it go away, just put more of a health risk on those who get them done in the back alleys.

Abortion is a choice, but most people make the wrong choice. Emotions run high when your pregnant...I know, i am pregnant. You can't make a decision like that when your under high emotions. Most people regret having an abortion afterwards. If anyone is thinking of having an abortion...think of all those couples out there who cannot conceive and would love a child. There are other options if your not ready to be a parent. Talk with family, friends, church groups, clinics, etc. There are other choices.

while i am against abortion, i understand that the law upholds the right of the woman to choose such.
what really gripes me about abortion, is the abortion on demand, without counseling and when it is used as a method of birth control.
the other thing is that teachers are willing to take children accross the state lines to have an abortion, while they are ethically bound to deny a child an asprin or motrin if they have a headache or other simple ailment.

It depends on the financial situation of the woman. If the woman and her family are extremely poor and cannot bring up the child (im talking about the entire world not only US) there is no purpose of that child being born (poor people around the world already have many children). As the child would grow up he would cheat, steal, murder someone as the surroundings in which the child would be brought up would really be bad. Or worse could happen, the child could get brain washed by some fanatic and bomb important places in the world causing deaths to 1000's and a lifelong void to the various family members of the persons he killed thus becoming a menace to society. Of corse one cannot determine who will become a terrorist or a drug dealer etc as even people from good families become into that due to being misguided but it is much more likely that these criminals would turn out from poorer areas. Hence i believe that abortion should be legalised in each and every country. These people only are made to do all the crime by the war lords and fanatics as they are poor and have no source of income. And the bulk of the cash goes to the main leaders and these oor people always remain poor. Once they are in this trap its almost impossible to get out of it. If these misguided people are not around the war lords and fanatics would have no one to do the terrorist acts. They will never do it themselves as from their heart they are just a bunch of scared people, who want to come to power by misguiding others and using religion and terror as a tool.
