in the Rcc they believe that the Holy Eucharist is not symbolic but that Christ is fully with us. other than that there may be subte differences in regards to the prayers and style but - it's very similar.
here's their website....
http://www.umc.org/site
Just wanted to add -
1) there is no worshiping of Mary - especailly at mass.
2) the methodist church may not have a pope and thus vatican council but they have their bishops, eccuminical councils and various other leaders - they just call them a different name.

Actually, textually there is very little difference. The services are nearly identical except that there is substantially more congregation participation in the Catholic service than in the Methodist service.
The best suggestion is to attend a Methodist service with communion and then on the following week attend a Catholic service. You will find that Catholic scripture readings for the week prior were identical to the Methodist readings you heard.
If you are attentive, you will notice small differences, but they probably constitute less than one paragraph in total.

In the roman Catholic cerremony we come havee the liturgy of the word that is listen to 2 verses of the o.t. or n.t. a psalm and then the gospel we then we the we have intercessions and some other praying (theres alot of things in between just basic stuf..) then the lay man working for the church bring of the wine and bread we say some prayers before preaparing for consecration where the priest as the Lord did at the last supper blessed the bread and wine and turns in (as the Lord did) into His Body and Blood... as the lord said in commeration of me after the consecration we believe that the bread and the wine are the Real Body Blood Soul and Divinity of the Lord as it was at the last supper we genuflect meaning we give worship to jesus being that it is fully him but in the form of bread and wine as we see it but real its him and then we have communion and we eat his boody drink his blood (as it says in the bible whoever eats my body and drinks my blood shall have eternal life) we can only take communion if we are in the state of grace after we have communion we go back to out pew and pray usally the prayer of Anima Christi or just a personal prayer then the priest might say something and the he blesses everyone to go and spread the word of the Lord in between the mass theres stuff like a sermon or a homily after the gospel the prayers of Our Father shaking hands as a sign of peace the Apostels creed eucharistcal prayers and hymns...
sorry for not giving actual bible numbers for the passages..

Methodist Mass?
No ceremony for Protestant methodists and no Worship of Mary.
John Wesley and his younger brother Charles founded methodism as a movement in the 18th century, focused on Bible study, and a methodical approach to scriptures and Christian living.
It teaches GOSPEL "Jesus is the SAVIOR" and The only WAY.
Jesus is the mediator between God and Man. Christ is HEAD of the CHURCH and only he can forgive sin.
Methodist and Baptist are very similar in denomination.
Both almost exact opposite of Catholism where POPE is head
and man (priesthood) forgive sin of people.
Total contrary to Biblical teaching.

A Catholic Mass is blessed with the real presence of Jesus Christ; body, blood, soul and divinity, to receive in perfect worship and partake of in holy communion.
Luk 22:19 And taking bread, he gave thanks and brake and gave to them, saying: This is my body, which is given for you. Do this for a commemoration of me.
Luk 22:20 In like manner, the chalice also, after he had supped, saying: This is the chalice, the new testament in my blood, which shall be shed for you.
Methodist services are blessed only with the spiritual presence of Jesus Christ, and share only ordinary wine and ordinary bread, in a purely symbolic form of communion.
Mat 18:20 For where there are two or three gathered together in my name, there am I in the midst of them.
The elements, sequences, and purposes of the two liturgies have much in common.
