so i like this guy and i want to ask him to homcoming but my friends keep telling me that i can't ask a guy. should i go ahead and ask him anyways?

Yes ask him
probably a far better idea then waiting for him to ask you... he would probably love to go with you, but guys can be kind of well.. lazy and may wait until the day before or day of to mention something, and here you have waited and wondered for weeks.. just go for it, you have nothing to loose =)
PLUS he will be so happy that you have taken the pressure off him, you will have made his day.

Go for it! Why do your friends care whether you go out with this guy or not? If it makes you happy thats what matters.
Oh and DrSteve36 I finished my home work and it's only 7:00 it MAY be your bed time but it's not mine.

Just go ask him. It's easier on the guy just to go ask him. It doesn't matter if a girl asks a guy so just go ahead

mine was over 15 yrs ago and it was ok to ask a guy then.
Besides guys are too weak to ask who they want. GO FOR IT.

if you want to ask him then ask him.if youre nervous then tell him "its a group thing" and that youll all ahngout afterwards.most likely he'll say yes. :)
