Your body is trying to cool down by sweating. When sweat evaporates off your skin, it takes body heat with it, cooling your body. The process of sweating itself, does burn calories because it takes energy for your body to carry out this function, but the amount of calories is very small.

It means you are sweating out the water in your body. To burn off calories you need to do exercise. Sitting outside doesn't work as exercise. Sorry.

I don't know about burning calories and losing weight but I do know that your body is trying to cool down by sweating.

If you are just sitting outside and not exercising the only thing you are loosing with sweat is water. People who say you are loosing weight (calories) are wrong.

Sweating has nothing to do with burning calories. It is your bodies way of cooling itself. Of course if you are excercising, you are going to sweat more and burn more calories. You burn calories continuosly. Even when you are sleeping.

Usually you're just losing water if all that you're doing is sitting; if you're moving around, then you might be burning calories. Depends a lot on what you're doing & how vigorously you're moving.
