ACTUALLY.. it is a sin!! You shouldn't cause destruction to yourself with your own hands. You are a creation of God. You should take care of yourself. By drinking, you can harm your life aswell as others.

if you are a Christain, yes, drinking is a sin. And so is eating pork. These two laws are still observed in many christain communities, in Europe and elsewhere.

My professor (expert in religions) told me about the pork. He claims that there is evidence for it too. Muslims and Jews still follow these laws but for some strange reason most Christians do not recognize these laws.

Have you ever seen a picture of a Christian women from the old times? These women resemble the modern day Muslim and some jewish women. In other words, they wore veils. These 3 religions all come from the same region of the world and they have much in common. Islam and Judaism is practically the same except for some concepts.

By the way, I am not trying to prove any point. It is just for your info. As for me, I want nothing to do with any of the 3 religions.

Drinking in itself is not a sin, unless you believe it to be.It's the excesses, getting drunk ,slurred speech, out of your mind drunk,Driving while drunk.Taking food out of your children's mouth for a drink. They are more cons for drinking then for.

Jesus first miracle was at the wedding in Cana,He changed the water into wine, sorry Baptists, no where does it say unferminted wine. Actually they went to the host & asked why did you save the best for last?

Jesus said He would not drink the fruit of the vine until He drinks it a new with us in the Kingdom Heaven

Drunkeness is included among the works of the flesh which will not allow an individual to inherit the kingdom of God, (Gal.5:21)

The use of alcohol impairs the qualities one must possess to be pleasing to God such as self control, reason, and sound judgement (1Peter 1:16, 4:7, Gal. 5:23). It is difficult at times to live and act properly before Godwhen one is sober, let alone while under the influence of alcohol.

Sin is an outdated concept. Religion causes moral laziness because of their spoon-fed morality.

Instead, try thinking for yourself. I'm sure you can come up with some pros and cons to drinking.

We see examples of wine being consumed at the Last Supper and the Wedding Feast at Cana. Having a drink is not a sin--getting drunk is. Moderation......

I think drinking in moderation is okay. Having said that drinking alcohol is playing russian roulette because it is an addictive substance. One's body might just really enjoy it and it would be so hard to stop....why even start. I never drank after watching my parents. Nothing was worth that.

I believe drinking is a sin. The Bible says not to harm the temple of God, our body is the temple of God. So, if drinking cause all types of cancer, and the nicest poeple to become enraged, then wouldn't drinking be a sin?

well, im muslim, and i am told that whenever one loses the sense of reality and self, and is unable to recognize one thing from another he is committing a sin. Since drinking gets one outside their "self" and they forget where they are, what they are saying, or even who they are then i guess its a sin, for sure.

Drink in moderations my friend. When you drink excessively and destroy that vessol (your body) the lord has blessed you with then it is a sin.
