hello, yes I am pagan so all those who would wish to convert me don't bother. I'd like to know if anyone knows of any good pagan resources, maybe even coven type things, in the Antelope Valley(Specifically Palmdale & lancaster),ca. I already know of midsummer faeries & sacred space, and I've heard of online groups but my comp. access is VERY limited, so if you know of anything? Also, I'm trying to raise my baby pagan with my very mormon, very anti-pagan mother in the house. Any tips on how to deal w/ that?(& for all you naysayers who would assume I'm a freeloader, actually she's disabled and lives with me.)Appreciate any positive comment. :)

Other have already given good suggestions particularly http://www.witchvox.com

Regarding your problem with your mother, best thing I can think of is to be firm with her and tell her to keep her nose out of things. No need to be rude, but you are an adult and you are the mother now so what you say goes, grandmothers have no rights regarding how you raise your child. Don't let her butt in. Good luck.

Epona is right (as usual): witchvox is a good resource.

You shuld talk to your mother and tell her that, while you love and respect her, she is in your home and needs to respect your wishes when it comes to raising your child. I would suggest that you look for common ground between mormonism and paganism so that when your child someday asks if grandma is wrong, you can say, well, we both believe blah blah blah....

Bright Blessings!

I know you said your online time is limited, but the right e-group can be a very good use of it and lead you to real-world contacts and information. Try these Yahoo! Groups.

if you dont have access to a computer often, word of mouth works well, keep your eyes and ears open, it is usally fairly easy to figure out who is pagan minded if you know how to look. also there are many books available, and local newspapers.

The whole "pagan religion" seems to be based on the best seller list. Try looking there.
