It's obvious we have a clash of cultures going on. We in the west want to live in peace and harmony - allowing others to worship as they please. The Muslims want to put anyone who isn't a muslim to the sword. The recent reaction to the Popes words were a disgrace, shooting a Nun, burning churches, rioting in the street & burning flags. All over the world there are muslims terrorists. Why are so called moderate muslim leaders not publicly outraged at the way other muslims are acting?

why bother. If they want a scrap let em get on with it.
They Got Sunnies and Shiittes so let em scrap among themselves. They aint interested in peace. Thats a 2000 year old Christian ideal, Islam came after Christianity, they rejected all this turn the other cheek, live in peace love thy neighbour malarky when they set out.
Let em get on with it, find a nice bit of desert, like Iraq and if they want a scrap let em go there and do it. logically the same planes could take our scrapping Musims to Iraq as bring our soldiers home. just leave enough to guard the oil installations and bring the rest home.

Many Muslims are outraged. I am Christian but I know Muslims, just like Christians, all fall on a spectrum.
There is no single point called "Christian" all people fall on a wide spectrum; from total unbelief to complete trust.
Bin Laden draws his Islamic extemism from an Egyptian writer Sayyid Qutb. Qutb was executed in 1966 for trying to overthrow the government. Qutb believed, and now Bin Laden believes all Muslims must take up arms in the struggle between God and Satan. In their views, anyone who is not a fundamentalist Muslim is working with Satan and must be subdued or destroyed.
Bin Laden believes America is responsible for ALL attacks against Islam. America is the "head of the snake" as he has said.
Bin Laden and his followers will accept nothing less than American leaving the Middle East, converting to Islam, and end the immoratlity of American society.
That is why Bin Laden is so very dangerous. There is no middle ground with him.

I feel terrible I knew it was bad in the west but I didn't know it was that bad! It's disturbing to think that there are so many world leaders that could help out but aren't. All I can say is pray, and be respectful towards others which from what you said I'm pretty sure you are. It's sickening that people can't all just realise that everyone is different and diversity is a good thing NOT a bad thing.

Why is everyone always so quick to point the finger at only musims? Satan is having the time of his life all around the world. Put the blame where it belongs. Those who do not accept Jesus as their savior, belong to the devil. You are either with God, or you are with the devil There are no neutral grounds here.. And there are terrorists all over this world and not only in the muslim countries.
It was only about one year ago that a muslim was nearly put to death for converting to Christanity. God bless Him for seeing the light of Jesus and becoming born again. There is hope of all of man kind.

I feel far more threatened by teenage yobs than I do by Muslims. When you say "We in the west want to live in peace and harmony", that also means Muslims that live in the west. I find teenage yobs much more of a threat to a decent way of life. We need to be looking at those sort of problems and trying to make their parents take responsibility for their actions instead of preaching to the parents of a minority of children. I think for the most part Muslim parents take their responsibilities far more seriously than do the parents of yobs.

For starters, lets get out of their oil rich land and stop building bases there! Then, lets let them worship whoever they want and stay out of it! They wouldn't mess with us if we weren't over there killing innocent people. It doesn't help that our ignorant prez keeps referring to these muslims are evil and hate us for our freedom! Yeah right, they hate us for our violence against their people that did absolutely nothing to us. The Iraqi people have suffered miserably for no reason. Moderate muslim leaders have seen the damage that we westerners have done in their land and they hate us as well. We suck, because of our incompetent president!

Unfortunately, I don't believe it's possible. There are religious zealots in every sect - just not Muslim but Christian too. These people sincerely believe in their cause and it's not going to change. We just have to strive for moderation when we can and our world leaders need to be more cautious in their statements.

I think it would help if people would stop targeting them. We didn't have this problem until people decided that every Muslim on earth is evil -- which just isn't true. Education would be a good reform. I can't believe that no one is outraged over their treatment. So called Christians are applauding their deaths.

Because they condone what is going on with all the violence, and unfortunately nothing can be done they are a violent religion and will continue to be until world law says to them the party is over.
