I have noticed that lately I'm finding it hard to focus on things and my eyes will switch to "dazed" mode where it feels like I'm just staring at something with no focus. I wear contacts but I can see fine out of them. I also started a new job where I have to sit and stare at a computer 50% of the time, so do you think that could be it? If you have any ideas of what it is or how I can correct it, I'd appreciate it.

It is best to check with your doctor. It might be as simple as needing a new prescription.

One time my vision went blurry temporarily, I found out it was due to lack of vitamin A. There were lots of carrots in my diet for a while.

As we age, eyes do not adjust quickly when you look from distant to close object and vice versa. It is best that yo don't force your eyes to focus, it will only make things worse quicker. The best thing to do is to let your eyes rest. Try rubbing your hands together for a few seconds, so they are warm, and cover your palms over your eyes. It is a quick way to rejuvinate tiring eyes.

Best of luck.

more than likely it is the computer, i changed jobs a year ago and stare at a computer for most of the day and noticed my eyesight changing and had to get glasses. It was recommended to me that i change my scenery every so often by getting up and looking at other things that I didn't nee to concentrate on so much like a computer. I also take some time in my day to just close my eyes for a few seconds and this help me too.

Yes, its the computer! You should rather consult an optician as early as possible for an adapted par of specs... you'd only wear them at work to minimize the absorption of UV radiation

Maybe you wore your contacts inside-out - its irritates your eyes and blurs your vision if you've done that.

If this doesn't help, you definitely need to talk to your opticians and maybe get another eye test done....

I don't think using the computers alot helps your eyes either!!

I would check with your eye doc first. However, it is known that people who work in front of computers for long periods of time can have eye troubles, have it checked hun :)
