I always thought of myself as something of a reinaissance man (enjoys culture, art, classical music, jazz, good food, fine wine, intellectual conversations). I honestly don't give a hoot about professional sports, although I do like physically strenuous outdoor activities like mountain biking, hiking and jogging. What do you think? Is that the kind of guy you'd like, or do you like the macho/bad boy/ tough guy types, the nerdy/geeky types, or the jock/prep/all American boy types?

Personally, I never dated macho/bad boy/ tough guy types, the nerdy/geeky types, or the jock/prep/all American boy types. I usually dated European men because they liked art, wine, culture, music (not just Top 40). We could talk about more than just beer-boobs-baseball-BBQ.
Some girls think a hot bartender with a cool car is about the best they can do. Me- I gotta have a man with a life!

I would say many women will share ur interests, myself included, and thus i'm sure its not difficult for u to find somebody who's on the same wavelength as u in terms of interests and stuff to talk & discuss about. My take on ur qn will be, for any type of guys that u hv listed, none r too extreme and thus i feel there'll be an almost equal share of gals being attracted to each type. But interests is afterall jus an aspect of compatibility in a r/s. If u r asking for votes here, well my vote goes to ur type but personally i'm not into guys who are too refined/posh/high class/exquisite etc. cos myself am jus an average gal next door. I guess if u describe urself solely as that in ur personal ad anywhere, some gals might find u a little intimidating, unless thats what u really are ;)

well, I'll tell you what... what you're describing as a renaissance man is EXACTLY the kind of man that I like, and that I'm drawn towards... in fact, my ex-husband is exactly that kind of man...
BUT.... I'm kinda weird !!! Hehehee I mean, usually other women I know do not like that kind of men, and go for the macho/tough guys/ bad boy type... me, I run the opposite way if I see one of those.
I insist... I'm usually the weird one when in a group of women and they start talking about men... because I do love the kind of guy you describe as renaissance... so, there... my 2 cents and my 2 points... I don't know if it helps at all... as I said, I'm supposed to be "weird" when it comes to my taste in men.
But I do, I like that kind of guy that enjoys good music, a nice play, good movies, wine over good conversations and a nice meal... but that's just me! hopefully you have many like me around you! ;-)

hmmm...when i hear renaissance, doing things on a grandiose scale comes to mind. youre not a perfectionist, are you?well, there are girls who often go for the macho type, men who have lots of muscles to show. i think youre likeable, specially if the girl has the same taste as yours, and yep, your clean living is an attraction.

it depends... does it really matter who we are attracted too though? dont you want somone who likes you for you? not for some rennasance somthin or other who acts lik a macho man.if its love you just know...
