If you want to poison him and stunt his growth, yes. Otherwise take sugar away from him.

It depends on what the root of his problem is.. Is it a behavioral problem? Or is it ADHD? Doctor and teachers need to be consulted.
I had a 5 year old (ADHD) and a 6 year old (ADD), my life changed and the weight of the world was off my shoulders when they were put on Ritalin. I was crying myself to sleep every night because the child with the ADHD was so wild, today she is a beautiful young lady with a big mouth LOL....she takes after me...

Heck no! That's the worst thing you can do to a kid! There are places that will help him get the attention and challenge that he needs, so try that! I know one is called the Drake Institute and you should be able to find it online.
Don't every put a child on drugs for anything! I screws them up for life!

he will most likely outgrow it...let him know that what he is doing is not alright....but dont do it violently.
also i wouldn't recommend putting a 5 year old on ANY daily medication, especially for adhd which tends to be highly addictive.
try taking him to the park everyday and limmiting tv wathing

You rinstincts are correct my dear. 5 is way too young to label him with this. Try every other possable solution, wait until he is older and more mature.....then if a doctor feels he needs to be, make the decision then
Kids grow and mature MENATLLY at differant rates. My youngest, who is 5, is not nearly as mentally mature as my oldest, who is now 7, was at the same age. Give him more time

if he was diabetic would you hate to put him on insulin because he was "only five" ? If he has adhd, he needs to be medicated to be able to learn. Talk to his doctor
