If it one to use it must be low enough for the shortest person and high enough for the tallest person who uses it. If it is for decor or just to help reflect light then it will need to be hung where the light will best hit it so it can reflect. If it is for decor- like over a mantle or bed, then it will be according to the height of your ceilings and your furniture. If the mirror is for an intrance way you need to put it where it will be useful for last min checks when leaving and for visitors to check themselves when entering the house. Hope I have helped.

Eye level is the normal, but if you want the room to look taller hang your mirror alittle higher.

Hold the mirror in the middle with both hands, hold your arms out staight in front of you..then place the mirrior against the wall, only a few inches up from there would be as high as you would want it tops!

You should hang it the ht. that you and most others can see themselves in. Be careful and have someone hold it up first to make sure no undesireable views are reflected in it, such as kitchen sink, etc. I made that mistake once in my family rm. which was connected to my kitchen at the time.
