Maybe you're avoiding the pressure and uncertainty of creating. It is common for artists. Many work in cycles with periods of little or no creative work.

You have turned your love of painting and made it a job.
Now, instead of using the time to paint to relax you have put pressure on your self to get it done.

Remember why you started painting to begin with.

It's the same as writers block. Sometimes it's just good to get away for it for a while and collect your thoughts.

Maybe you have something akin to writer's block. You may need fresh inspiration, or to try a new style or medium.
