Well people usually start with their roots and so the dye is on them longer. try putting the dye on your roots last .

if you are using a box color (you'll need to buy an extra box of color) try presoftening your roots with the plain color solution (without mixing in the developer) leave it on for about 5 minutes depending on your hair type (fine hair=less time, course hair=a bit longer) then mix color solution with developer and apply as directed. what this does is open your hair cuticle so that it will accept the color more evenly. try a test patch first...always

Well once you dye your hair you will have to keep on doing it. Your hair will grow out, and it will show your different colered roots.

pick wisely if this is something you really want, and think about it for 2 weeks or soooo untill your positive.

don't apply the color to your root area first, start from the mid shaft to the ends after you've done that to your whole head apply it to your root area
