It's not to be gross or anything My dog is getting neutered tomorrow and I checked all over the internet and I can't find any I would like to see what my dog is going in for and the process I think I am more nervous then he is.

Actually, the incision is made at the base of the penis, and not in the actual scrotum like in cats. Then the testicles (one at a time) are pushed up and through the incision and tied off and removed. Then the incision is closed. End of story. The next few days, it can look as if the dog still has testicles, due to the swelling of the scrotum.
It is not a vasectomy...it is complete removal of the testicles.
